Cas van de Pol (birthday: February 20), or simply Cas, is a Dutch YouTuber, animator, and director best known for his "The Ultimate ___ Recap Cartoon" series. Many of his animations are inspired by movies, television shows, mostly Disney movies, and occasionally video games.

He mostly make "The Ultimate ___ Recap Cartoon" on Fridays.

As of April 2024, Cas has over 6.7 million subscribers and over 1.8 billion views on his YouTube channel.

History

Cas uploaded his first video, "Colorfight", on March 14, 2014. His first video (in chronological order) to get a million of views is "Who's This - A Game of Thrones Parody of What's This from The Nightmare Before Christmas". He would initially upload short parody cartoons based on media such as Splatoon, Black Panther, Game of Thrones, as well as popular YouTubers like Game Grumps, Idubbbz, and Maxmoefoe.

In 2018, he would post his first video in the Ultimate series based on Avatar: The Last Airbender. These would become very popular, eventually creating more videos based on animated films, but also shows and video games. The series briefly and parodically goes through scenes or moments from the media he's satirizing. Cas will occasionally put these animations into a compilation video.

In the near end of 2020, he makes his first recap cartoon in collaboration with another animator Junaid Chundrigar.

He usually posts pictures on his Twitter on a daily basis.

Trivia

• His recap videos always start with Cas, with his mouth wide open.
• In his animation of Super Mario 64, voice clips from Charles Martinet (Mario and Luigi) and Samantha Kelly (Peach and Toad) were used in addition to using fandubers.
• Since 2020, his Ultimate Recap Cartoons have a brief "Not Made for Kids" note added in their openings due to them having violent content.
• The Ultimate "Lord of the Rings Series" & "Harry Potter Series" Recap Cartoon are the only animations on his channel that's not directed or storyboarded by himself, instead, both of these Recap Cartoon Series were directed by Remus & Kiki and Barracrewda Animation respectively.
• In "Ultimate Minecraft Cartoons" the episodes portrayed Steve from Minecraft as a troublemaker which means villain.
• Since 2023, his animation were now made using STARFORGE systems.
• The official Sonic the Hedgehog account commented on his "Sonic the Hedgehog" recap.
• The "Ultimate How To Train Your Dragon Recap Cartoon" video started the "Toothless Dancing" and "SCOTLAND FOREVER" meme which may have been inspired by the 2019 video on Youtube which used the original animation of the dancing gecko by "Ka92" in 2018 and the back ground music of Driftveil City.
