Chazington (born: November 2, 2005 (2005-11-02)), formerly known as Mister Anime9001, is an American YouTuber and artist known for making comedic commentary videos on various topics. He also sometimes make animations and satirical plush videos.

History

He uploaded his first video as his former "Mister Anime" persona Top 10 Anime Characters on the same date as his channel's creation, which is partially based on Chills's Top 10 videos (especially with the monotone voice). He would later make similar videos mostly titled with the keywords "Top 10 anime".

He would upload his first non-anime related commentary video "Killer bean is a better than perfect movie" on July 17, 2019.

While he has built a small fanbase over the years, he became very semi-famous in 2022 and 2023 with videos like "The Annoying Orange Cartoon Network show we tried to forget" and "Every Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared teacher RANKED" gaining thousands of views.

He changed his username from "Mister Anime9001" to "Chazington" on early November 2022, mainly because he thought his channel's content has since changed from him doing "anime review parodies". With it, he made a skit about the persona's funeral as his 200th video special.

On July 6, 2023, he made a video on the history of SmashBits Animations and their most popular series "If Undertale was Realistic". He would later get a voice-acting role as the Phone Guy in their video "If FNAF was Realistic", and would later say that he "accidentally" revived the channel.

Controversy

Feud with Smash Bandicoot

On February 17, 2024, Chazington made a post saying there's a impersonator on Twitter sending porn to his followers. Many people assume it was Smash Bandicoot doing it, and said he has been doing it to multiple people. Later, Chazington and his friend Doomfoks managed to get into contact with Smash Bandicoot on Discord.

However, days later, Chazington has said that he has been getting false copyright strikes, and cannot make an appeal because it will inadvertently leak his personal information to the striker. The strikes were from Smash Bandicoot, and the photos has shown Smash's real name and email. As a result, he had to private his videos to prevent his channel from getting terminated.

Daggz, choopo, MR Springs, Pastra, Solid jj, Random Encounters, EvanTubeHD, ZackScottGames, Dumbsville, and a couple of other people had spread awareness about it and criticized YouTube for not taking it seriously.

Fortunately, on February 29 (a leap day), he decided to unprivate most of his videos.

Characters

He has an OC named "Blima the Wonder Cat", who first appeared in "PLANET DOLAN MEMORIAL" on June 27, 2022, as a joke character based on Shima Luan, a former member of Super Planet Dolan. Blima has gained a cult following with people making fanart of it, and even has its own wiki.

Blima got its own plushie on January 2024, in association with Ownaj.

• His profile picture is fat Elmer Fudd from Looney Tunes short "The Wacky Wabbit". He has also shown to be a big fan of the franchise.
  • His former profile picture was a drawing of his character "Mister Anime", but was changed in July-August 2022.
• He got Random Encounters, Horror Skunx, yukigloom, Fightmarker‬, Dawko‬, XTRATUNA, Rabi and LewKreerdun to collab on his music video "Nightmare Nightshift" in January 2026.
• He's best friends with SeatbeltButBetter, Doomfoks, M.R. Springs and Spacey Tracey, they often appear in his videos.
  • Seatbelt is Chaz's best friend since they were both in elementary school, as they met in the early 2010's.
• On November 27, 2022, he made a video on TheOdd1sOut's Netflix show Oddballs, where he joked about Foodball Joe's line "Too old to order off the kids menu". It became a meme in his fanbase due to how absurd it is.
  • He jokingly tried to recreate that meme in his video on the show's second season. He found the sentence "A dog can't legislate" to have potential, before giving it up.
  • Incidentally, Chaz also got the controversial animator Antoons to make a comment on that video, which he brought up at the beginning of his Oddballs 2 video.
• He made a webcomic inspired by Tails Gets Trolled, named "What Mario Did At 12PM". It is currently on 4 chapters. As of 2023, only Chapter 1 has been officially dubbed.
• He edits his videos using a free version of KineMaster 5.
