Wang Gang (Chinese: 王刚; born: June 11, 1989), better known online as Chef Wang Gang (Chinese: 美食作家王刚; lit. Food Writer Wang Gang) is a Chinese YouTuber. He is known for his cooking guide videos.

Backstory[]
Wang Gang was born in Zigong, Sichuan, China. He always wanted to be a chef, but his dad didn't approve it. He start working at many restaurants. After graduating from middle school, he chose to study cooking. Chef Wang never went to culinary school, nor did he had a proper background in cooking. In 2014, he became the chief cook in a hotel.
Going Viral[]
In 2017, he resigned as the chief cook and started to record videos about cooking and upload them to Sina Weibo and Xigua Video. He later became a signed contributor of Xigua Video.
He started his YouTube channel on January 2018 and started his Bilibili account on May 2018. He started his Taobao store on May 2018 after requesting takedown of a Taobao store in the name of him without his permission.
Trivia[]
- Wang Gang has set up a kitchen-like workshop as the background of his videos. Since 2019, Wang Gang started to upload cooking guide videos with a village background.
