History

Formation (2018)

Before its foundation, the four founders: Julius Borris, Adhav Parameswaran, Alexander Orban, and Samuel Shiplett, decided to establish this group since they haven't done this a year ago. The founders were known for being involved in a now-discontinued group, BrainTorn, since January 26, 2017; dissolved in July 23, 2017.

Starting YouTube channel/Golden Times (2018-2019)

On December 15, 2018, the group announced several series of content, including Julius's Music, Chad Vamp, Mini Hambo Edits, The Sam Show, Aiden's Sea of Thieves, 4Bucks's Music, and Vvuldix's Bad Podcast. They decided to make up plans at any time; they called this, Revival Launch Plan. On February 23, 2019, Julius Borris published the first episode of his self-produced show, The Vlogging Show; this episode was titled, The Two Chillers Walking In School During Night. The episode included 3 people, including Julius, Samuel Shiplett, and Fishmongler. Due to the group's status, they don't have a schedule of uploading because of their education (currently in high school). On April 16, 2019, 2 notable men, including AnonyMatt and WizardNearACoast, joined the group. AnonyMatt published his first video during his first day (includes a miniseries), entitled Matt Rants - Cathy Mitchell's Amazing Ramen Joy. Julius Borris stopped producing The Vlogging Show on May 10, 2019.

Revamp Planning (2019-2021)

In June 2019, the Chillers Channel announced a revival release including more series on YouTube and so on; including Jucula's Bizarre Adventure, Chillers After Dark Podcast, Nick's BUMS Show, JoJo Short Fanspoofs, and Chillers Mukbang. The first episode of Jucula's Bizarre Adventure was published on July 1, 2019. On August 23, 2019, AnonyMatt published the first JoJo fanspoof video, entitled Giorno Goes To School. The video was rapidly boosting up views and likes since December 18, 2019, and it's currently growing slowly. It is currently the group's most popular video. On November 26, 2019, the group gathered after school and did their first year anniversary ceremony. It was recorded (by Myrtlett) and published on YouTube. Julius Borris took a break of the group, after attending the anniversary ceremony, and decided to experience business-related opportunites. He founded the Officers Channel with AnonyMatt, ItsModernJack, Vvuldix, Fishmongler, and WizardNearACoast; this was a side project. The side project didn't go well, so it was dissolved on February 19, 2020. Julius Borris announced his third hiatus in the Chillers Channel, on May 6, 2020, and it was mentioned in the fourth episode of Chillers After Dark Podcast. Along with his third hiatus, his legacy continues on the Chillers Channel since some of the members make videos featuring Julius Borris Internet memes. The Chillers Channel has revealed the most significant changes to its logo and symbol, which include a hexagonal prism gemstone known as The Chillers Crystlia (later then replaced by their parent company, Chillosoft, formerly). Borris appeared in one video, which was titled In The Cold (Ft. AnonyMatt). The Chillers Channel launched several new updates for the group in September 2020, including one involving their parent company, Chillosoft. The group agreed to go back to the cyan color theme. The group continues to create videos. Borris selected theme music for the members and series for the first time ever. The group introduced a new side project entitled The Juculaic Khilleursh, including demons that have human traits. Notably, some of the demons in the side project appeared in the Chillers Channel's Themes For The Chillers & Others music videos, including, "Noise Virus (Jucula Theme)", "Chill Rock Attitude (AnonyMatt Theme)", "Inesperado (WizardNearACoast Theme)", "The Last Pulse (UpwardDig Theme)", "Perfect Serenity (Fishmongler Theme)", "The Lonesome Rider (Appaloosa Theme)", and "Beat The Horizon (Bansol "Seth" Theme)". On December 23, 2020, the Chillers Channel launched their first-ever e-commerce operation, titled "Chillers "Shop For Media."

Fall of the Chillers (2021-present)

On January 21, 2021, all the videos in the YouTube channel were privatized until the next day, everything came back to normal since a revival release was released. 3 months ago, Julius Borris published the first episode of The Vlogging Show S2 and planned to make more episodes. There are currently three episodes that are published, including "Chilli Mac n' Cheese Mukbang," "Jubba Kenvuski Returns," and "Julius's Nightmarish Dreams." On March 22, 2021, the Chillers Channel published a video of nostalgic memories and a note that was displayed, saying that they're going to discontinue on July 23, 2022, but there will be another epoch section after the original early chillers.

Controversies

Julius Borris's Methodology

Julius Borris has changed a lot to the group and its YouTube channel. Every member is currently thanking him for the work and the familial view of the group. However, he had experience tough decisions and methods since January 3, 2019. During those times, Borris decided to think that he wants this group to be very professional and commercial. His methods was to make people join the group by taking a membership registration via Jotform or Google Form and take YouTube education. The members who were in the group, in those times, were stressed about this methodology from Borris. From other admins or mods, their methodology is to keep uncertified members' information private if it's up to them, and they don't want a registration form, even a YouTube education. This is when the group added membership interviews so they can talk to uncertified members about their upcoming membership and brief personal information. Julius Borris removed the YouTube education from the group on February 24, 2019. During the 2019 Chillers Revival V1 Unofficial Release (May 21, 2019 - June 19, 2019), the Chillers Channel almost fell off since Borris added many policies and features in the group. The group weren't posting that much since then until June 19, 2019. Things got normal since then.

Content Changing

Some viewers that were watching the Chillers Channel criticized about the content that they're creating. The viewers didn't notice that this was Julius Borris's plan to change some content. The YouTube channel was filled with professional videos such as advertisements, video intros, and so on.
