Chloe Sakamata (沙花叉クロヱ) (birthday: May 18) is a Japanese VTuber affiliated with hololive. She debuted as a part of its 6th Japanese generation, Secret Society HoloX, along with Lui Takane, Iroha Kazama, Koyori Hakui and La+ Darknesss.

Chloe's channel was created in September 2021. Her debut was livestreamed on November 29, 2021, and became an unintentional source of comedy as she forgot to turn off her mic when she wasn't speaking and forgot to play the background music at one point. It was proceeded by a chatting stream with Lui, Laplus and Koyori, and then a singing stream of English songs.
The first game she played after debut was The Radio Station, and she has also played Undertale, Pokemon Brilliiant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Greenhell, Gartic Phone, Getting Over It, Potion Craft, Elden Ring, Vampire Survivors, Hades and Evil Korone.
On December 4, she hosted a 30 minute chatting stream where she studied English and practiced with English speakers in her chat[1].
She has covered the song Animal - DECO*27.
On January 13, 2022, Chloe announced an indefinite hiatus[2]. The reason was that her grandmother passed away in the morning an despite her desire to resume streaming, her manager advised her not to because she needed time to recover. She returned on January 22.
Collaborations[]
All of HoloX played Among Us with Suisei, Matsuri, Miko and Noel. Marine, Chloe, Korone and Koyori played RAFT[3].
Her streams of Minecraft have featured her genmates, Baelz and Mumei[4][5]. Her streams of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have featured Lui, Matsuri and Choco[6].
Regarding her genmates, she has played We Were Here Too with Koyori.[7] Koyori and Chloe would collaborate again for Surgeon Simulator with Lui[8]. Chloe has implied that she has a romantic affection for Lui and gets envious of others like Mumei when they get attention from her, and will often act like a "yandere"[9][10].
Prior to her debut, she was anxious, but Laplus comforted her[11].
She has referred to Shion Murasaki as her oshi. She can't stream at the same time as her because she would rather watch her. She also refers to Subaru as her mama.

She loves music and can be found listening to it every chance she gets. And while she denies it vehemently, she apparently tends to come across as guarded and not very upfront with her thoughts, only letting people get very occasional glimpses into how she really feels.[13]

The official name of her fanbase is "shiikuin"「飼育員」, meaning "zookeepers" or "aquarium caretakers". Chloe awards her channel members with specific song covers - for example, the Japanese version of her third original song Hurt you (which originally is in English).
In-jokes/memes[]
- A running joke in the Hololive fandom is that Noel and Chloe are sisters (or sometimes, Noel herself) due to their similar appearances.
- Since Chloe is an orca, a lot of fans joke that she may eat Gura (a shark), Ina'nis (whose tentacles are reminiscient of an octopus/squid) and Nene (who's nicknamed a seal).
- As of late 2021, it has become increasingly common for Shiikuin to edit Chloe's voice clips on footage of orcas from documentaries or movies, especially if the orcas are attacking seals or sharks. Bonus if the orcas are acting brutal while Chloe's voice is soft.
- Humourously, in the 2022 Hololive Mario Kart 8 Deluxe cup, Chloe threw a blue shell at Gura, which caused her to be taken out.
- Some joke that she is Char Aznable.
- Due to her favourite singers being Sia (who obscures her appearance) and Zutomayo (who keep information about their members/collaborateurs secret), a joke is that she likes secrecy in musicians.

Personal life[]
Chloe is from Kansai. She accidentally revealed this when she referred to McDonalds as Makudo, which is Kansai slang for the chain's name. However, it doesn't show in her accent.[17]
She has studied abroad in New Zealand.[18]
In an unarchived English singing stream on December 15, 2021, Chloe admitted to her viewers that she had never received any vocal training by that point and hoped to attend some in the future.
She was very close to her paternal grandmother and was saddened when she passed.[19]

- She likes Western music artists such as Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, but her favorite singer is Sia. She also likes Japanese artists such as Yorushika, Hikaru Utada, and Zutomayo.
- Chloe spent three months studying English pre-debut, hence her good English skills and why she holds karaoke streams specificly dedicated to singing English songs.[20][21]
- She sleeps 12 hours a day, and overslept on the day of her debut stream. Because of that a lot of moments in her debut and her Tweets were apologies to her fans and genmates.
- Chloe is the third member of hololive to be confirmed to be from Kansai, after Fubuki and Roberu, who also speak in Kansai dialect.
- She loves McDonald's burgers to the point her freezer contains a lot of them.[22]
