Cincinnati Reds is an American MLB team based in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. They currently play for the central division of the National League.
History[]
The origins of the Reds can be traced back to removal of the National League of an earlier team with the same name. This was due to owner William Hulbert due to his dislike for selling beer during games and renting out the ballpark on Sundays. After this, they joined the American Association, which was founded due to them.
On November 14, 1889, the National League came back to Cincinnati, and joined the National League along with the Brooklyn Bridgegrooms.
In 1919, they won their first World Series title, beating the Chicago White Sox.
In 1994, they moved from the west division of the National League to the central division.
