Cody Conrod (born: January 7, 2005 (2005-01-07) [age 15]), better known online as Clix (or MSF Clix), is an American YouTuber, Twitch Streamer and a professional Fortnite: Battle Royale player. He started gaining recognition after qualifying for the Fortnite's first annual World Cup.[1] On July 1, 2020, Cody became a member of NRG.[2]

Cody is very well known for being the best one versus one (1v1) player and high ground taker, and being one of the youngest professional Fortnite: Battle Royale players. He often does wagers against his fans.[3]

History

Cody started streaming on Twitch on November 11, 2017, the same day the Clix YouTube channel was created. He uploaded his first YouTube video on April 21, 2018, showcasing a build battle he was in.[4] He later made Fortnite montages before Fortnite's competitive scenes. The first time Cody was qualified for Fortnite's first annual World Cup, he was first place, and won $58,000 - Cody's career began to rise exponentially.

Controversy

Temporary Suspension from Twitch

Cody was suspended from Twitch for 7 days due to playing with a suspended Twitch streamer ZaynSZN.[5] Twitch's rules state that current Twitch streamers are not allowed to collaborate or share any association with the banned streamer on stream. However, Cody's ban was reduced and was only banned for 3 days total.[6]

Feud with UnknownxArmy

On May 23, 2020, during the Fortnite Championship Series Invitational: Grand Finals, Cody got into conflict with another Fortnite professional player named UnknownxArmy. During game 5 out of 6, Cody sniped Unknown and dance emoted on him. Out of frustration, Unknown's plan for game 6 was to eliminate Cody in the early game.[7]

Unknown was unknowingly chasing another qualifying player named Ajerss, who eliminated him while Cody was still in the game. After the game finished, Cody turned on his live stream and started ranting on Unknown's behavior during game 6.[8]

Organizations

On March 30, 2019, Cody became a member of Misfits before leaving the clan on July 1, 2020 to join NRG the same day.[9][10][11]
