Cody Michael Kolodziejzyk[1] (born: November 22, 1990 (1990-11-22) [age 34]), better known online as Cody Ko, is a Canadian YouTuber, actor, comedian, rapper and podcast host primarily known for his comedy videos. He was a part of the music and podcasting duo Tiny Meat Gang, along with Noel Miller up until July, 2024.

He created his YouTube account and published his first video, titled "My #firstpost on YouTube dot com!" on May 29, 2014, and since then has gained several millions of subscribers.

Personal life[]

Cody Ko was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on November 22, 1990, to Helen and Greg Kolodziejzyk. His father is a cyclist who has set many records worldwide.[2] He has a sister.[3] Cody is ethnically Polish.[4][5]

He graduated from Springbank Community High School in 2008 and went on to attend Duke University, where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He graduated with a degree in computer science in 2012.[6][7] He was a DJ in college.[8]

In March 2012, Kolodziejzyk created an iPhone application named "I'd Cap That," which he began as a personal project before it was released to the public on the App Store shortly after. The application became viral, attracting four million users within four months of its release.[9]

After graduating from Duke, Cody began working as an iOS developer and engineer from 2012 to 2015, before working at Fullscreen Inc as a senior iOS engineer until late 2016.

History[]

On April 3, 2013, Cody joined Vine, where he became popular for creating brief comedy skits. Cody launched his YouTube channel in May 2014, where he initially created vlogs and would collaborate with other YouTube stars, including Tana Mongeau, Alexis G. Zall, Corinna Kopf and more.

He later became popular for creating commentary videos and collaborating with former Viner Noel Miller. The duo later became known as Tiny Meat Gang and began producing music in 2017.

On October 24, 2019, it was announced that Ko and Miller had signed to Arista Records.[10]

Tana Mongeau allegations[]

On July 14, 2024, Cody was featured in a video by D'Angelo Wallace. The video, which was addressed directly to Cody, encouraged him to speak about the allegations made against Cody by Tana Mongeau. Tana has credibly accused Cody of having sexual relations with her, when she was 17 and he was 25.[12] On July 26, 2024, TMG Studios released a statement, reading that Cody would no longer be involved in day-to-day operations, and Noel Miller would remain leading the podcast network.[13] On August 8, 2024, after a hiatus of nearly one month, the studio returned with new content.[14]
