Earl Simmons † (December 18, 1970 – April 9, 2021 [aged 50]), better known professionally as DMX, (Dark Man X), was an American musician, who performed the genres of rap, gangsta rap, hip hip, east coast hip hop, and hardcore hip hop. On April 9, 2021, at age 50, he passed away due to multiple organ failures, namely his kidneys, liver, and lungs.

Since he began his career in 1991, he's released a total of seven studio albums, including It's Dark and Hell is Hot, (1998), Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood, (1998), ... And Then There Was X, (1999), The Great Depression, (2001), Grand Champ, (2003), Year of the Dog... Again, (2006), and Undisputed, (2012), seven compilation albums, which included The Definition of X: The Pick of the Litter, (2007), Playlist Your Way, (2009), The Best of DMX, (2010), Greatest Hits with a Twist, (2011), Icon, (2012), Redemption of the Beast, (2015), and DMX: The Ruff Ryder, (2021), one mixtape, which is Mixtape, (2010), and two extended plays, which includes The Weigh In, (2012), and A Dog's Prayers, (2021).
