Alexey Gerasimov[1] (Russian: Алексей Герасимов, Georgian: ალექსეი გერასიმოვი), better known online as DaFuq!?Boom! (or simply DaFuq or Mr. Boom, formerly; blugray), is a Georgia-based YouTuber and SFM animator. Initially known for his animations parodying Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, he gained subsequent popularity thanks to his ongoing series "skibidi toilet", that spans 77 episodes as of November 17th, 2024.
He was one of the fastest growing channels of 2023, growing from around 1 million subscribers at the beginning of the year to over 37 million by the end of it. In April 2024, DaFuq!?Boom! became one of the Top 100 most subscribed Youtube Channels by surpassing Vlad và Niki in subscribers. As of November 2024, he has over 44 million subscribers.
Content
His content often features bizarre scenarios typical of SFM animations, featuring character models from games like Garry's Mod and Half-Life. By 2023, before the rise of popularity of skibidi toilet, he would start making SFM animations as YouTube Shorts.[2]
GTA SA SFM Animations
Since the start of his channel, he made Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas SFM animations, mostly parodying the "Big Smoke's Order" meme.[3] He has also made SFM animations starring Wu Zi Mu, another character of GTA SA.[4]
His most popular GTA SA video, "[SFM] I'M AT DIP", has over 48 million views as of June 2024.[5]
Male_07 and Multiverse of Beatbox
Another popular series in his channel, it features the titular Male_07, a model of an NPC from Half-Life 2 frequently used in SFM animations, depicted as a beatboxing god. He would often use his catchphrase "Who needs it anyway", and then blurts out audio clips usually taken from verbalase.
A compilation of Male_07 videos, "ULTIMATE MALE_07 COMPILATION [SFM]", is the most viewed non-Skibidi Toilet video on his channel, with over 147 million views as of June 2024.[6]
Skibidi Toilet
His most popular work to date, skibidi toilet, is an ongoing YouTube Shorts series featuring the titular characters, toilets with human heads that sing a remixed version of Timbaland's "Give It To Me" and Biser King's "Dom Dom Yes Yes", fighting against humanoids with devices like cameras and speakers as heads, known respectively as the "Cameraman" and "Speakerman", who sometimes use Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" as their main theme. The first episode was uploaded on February 8, 2023,[7] and it became viral, particularly among the Generation Alpha, with each new episode getting millions of views immediately after release.
It originated as a one-off short named "skibidi bop yes yes yes", uploaded on January 30,[8] with male_07 singing the famous remix on atop of a building. It would later get a sequel two days later, combining the Kratos falling meme.[9]
On July 2024, it is reportedly announced that a movie and TV franchise based around Skibidi Toilet is currently in the works, directed by Michael Bay alongside with former Paramount executive Adam Goodman.[10][11] DaFuq!?Boom! himself has confirmed this.[12]
