Daniel John Bongino (born: December 4, 1974 (1974-12-04) [age 50]) is an American political commentator who runs The Dan Bongino Show on FOX's streaming service, Fox Nation, and Unfiltered with Dan Bongino on Fox News.

Life & past career[]

Bongino was born on December 4, 1974, and raised in Queens, New York City. He attended Queens College in Queens, where he earned a bachelor's and master's degree.

Bongino worked for the New York City Police Department from 1995-1999. He joined the United States Secret Service in 1999 as a special agent, leaving the New York Field Office in 2002.

In 2020, Bongino announced he had a tumor in his throat and would fly to New York for a screening on September 25. A week later, on October 2, he received a phone call from doctors about the tumor, and announced he would undergo surgery on October 7.

On October 16, he received an official diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma, continuing treatment with doctors. During an interview in July 2022, he announced he had "beaten cancer."

Political career[]

Bongino has been a radio host and commentator on numerous radio programs, frequently being on Fox News' InfoWars. He launched a website, Bongino Report, as an alternative to Drudge Report, another website. He was signed to replace commentator Rush Limbaugh's show, The Rush Limbaugh Show, on March 2021.

Channel[]

Bongino created his channel on October 7, 2013.[1] He ran a series of his show, The Dan Bongino Show, reaching over 1,670 episodes.[2]

Termination[]

On January 26, 2022, Bongino's channel was terminated for using it to attempt to find a way around a temporary suspension on one of his other channels after posting a video questioning the effectiveness of masks against COVID-19. He had over 882,000 subscribers and over 122,000,000 views before his termination.[3]
