Daniel Newton is a Welsh animation YouTuber best known for his 2013 video "Ghost train animation."

Newton joined YouTube on December 9, 2009 and uploaded his first video, "Pant-yr-Ochain," on the same day. His first twelve videos were railfanning in various locations of Wales. On October 17. 2010, he uploaded his first animation video, "A Kettle animated sequence."[1] From that day forward, he would primarily make animated videos for his channel, one of them being his magnum opus, "Ghost train animation," which was released on May 16, 2013. Even though he mainly uploads animation videos, he still occasionally posts railfanning videos.

"Ghost train animation" would get an extended edition ten years later in August of 2023.[2]

Personal life[]

Newton is from Wrexham, Wales. As a reference to his home, he has an artistic depiction of "Wrexham Churches" as his profile picture.

Trivia[]

  • "Ghost train animation" remains Newton's most viewed video with over 12 million views. The video with the least amount of views is "Force, Weight & Volume" at only over 140 views.[3]
  • He is one of only 72 known YouTubers from Wales.
