Danish String Quartet is a Danish quartet that composes of violinists Frederik Øland and Rune Tonsgaard Sørenson, violist Asbjørn Nørgaard, and cellist Fredrik Schøyen Sjölin.[3][Note 1]

Background[]

As kids, Frederik, Rune, and Asbjørn met at an amateur musician summer camp in the Danish countryside where they shared a common interest in classical chamber music and became best friends.[1] In 2001, they started getting coached regularly by The Royal Danish Academy of Music professor Tim Frederiksen.[1] They made their official debut at the 2002 Copenhagen Summer Festival.[4] In 2008, Fredrik would join the quartet.[1]

YouTube history[]

The YouTube channel was created on May 13, 2012,[5] and the first video was posted later that day.[6] Their content consists of performances,[7][8][9][10] arrangements,[11] and music releases.[12][13][14]
