Kevin Perjurer[1] better known online as Defunctland, is an American documentarian. He primarily uploads videos about the history of extinct theme park and themed entertainment experiences, but his videos have also branched off to talking about extinct TV shows under the series name "DefunctTV". (All DefunctTV videos are uploaded onto Defunctland.) All videos are narrated by Kevin Perjurer. Another spinoff series is "Debunkedland", narrated by Noah Randall. His most popular video is Disney's FastPass: A Complicated History.

History[]

Defunctland was initially created by Kevin Perjurer to supplement the Defunctland VR Park. In an interview, Perjurer also stated that he created it "... knowing that there are rides and sometimes entire places where millions of people experienced strong, memorable joy, and knowing that these places are now completely gone."[2]

The first video uploaded onto the channel and for the first season of Defunctland was Defunctland: The History of ExtraTERRORestrial: Alien Encounter. Due to the success of the first season, another season would be created, with a third season in-progress. A podcast and two spinoff series would be created, the series being named DefunctTV and Debunkedland. Sometimes, an hour-long interview with a person heavily involved with the subject of a previous video will be released, showing a different perspective of the subject with someone who was personally involved with it.

Trivia[]

  • Kevin grew up in Kansas, where he frequently attended the regional theme park Worlds of Fun.
