Dejan Drazić (Serbian: Дејан Дражић; born: August 30, 2000) better known online as Dex Rock, is a Serbian YouTuber who makes commentary, gaming, reaction, and vlog videos.
Biography[]
Dejan Dražić is a Serbian gamer and YouTuber whose channel "Dex Rock" in June 2023 is followed by almost 2 million users of "YouTube" ("YouTube"). He was born on August 30, 2000 in Kikinda. He lives in Mokrin near Kikinda. He published his first video of himself playing the game "Minecraft" at the age of 11, and three years later he started "streaming" and publishing other content almost daily. Dejan reached 100,000 subscribers on his channel in January 2017, and by October of the same year, there were three times as many. He enriched the channel with other contents. In addition to gaming, his followers can watch reactions to funny videos, horror stories, Reddit reactions, challenges and other fun videos.
As more and more younger audiences followed Dejan on YouTube, the first sponsorships and invitations to participate in festivals in the country and region also came. In April 2018, the "Dex Rock" channel gathered about 400 thousand boys and girls, and by the end of the year that figure "climbed" to 600 thousand. Dejan named his army of followers "Rock Fam", and launched his own collection of clothes and accessories. RockFam T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, hats and backpacks are on sale today.

Childhood and education[]
Dejan Dražić was born in 2000 in Kikinda. He lives with his parents in the village of Mokrin, not far from that town in Vojvodina. He has always had many different interests. He learned to read and write before starting school, and he wanted to be a journalist. He invented and "published" his own newspaper and dreamed of making it his profession when he grew up. In addition, he liked to go to theater performances with his mother. Since the stage has always attracted him, his parents enrolled him in the drama section. He got the main role in the play with which they performed throughout Vojvodina.
After finishing elementary school, he entered the Technical School in Kikinda, majoring in computer electrical engineering. His dad had always played the guitar and wanted to teach his son some basics of playing that instrument. Dejan learned to play the first song in two days. His father passed on his love for rock music to him, so he started listening to the bands Guns n Roses, Green Day, Metallica, AC/DC. Then he wanted to become a rock musician. In order to realize that dream, he practiced every day, even when dad was not at home.
He "downloaded" riffs from the Internet and learned how to play with the help of YouTube tutorials. However, one love was a turning point in his life. As a child, he played the game "Super Mario" on the famous "Sega" and admired the computer he saw at a neighbor's. She let him use her computer, and his wish to get his own came true when he turned seven. A few years later, a friend invited him to play Minecraft with his brother. They spent the whole day playing and Dejan got "infected" with that video game. He learned the tricks by watching The Imperial Craft YouTube channel. On that channel, gamers published "Minecraft" streams, and Dejan came up with the idea to start recording.

Dejan "Dex Rock" channel opened December 28, 2010. The inspiration for the name of the channel was given by connecting his nickname - Dex and the Music Genre of the deadline because he adored rock music. Dex's show is good. He is, it is said, very entertaining for children, who follow his every move with averted eyes, of course with popcorn and a glass of sugary drink in their hands. That show includes carefully directed, but childishly banal video content on the cinema screen, as well as live challenges and a conversation with Dex and his mister Bluff - Bojan, whom Dex calls "Camerman" and which is an important part of his career. The challenges are purely kindergarten. What did Dex do? He simply picked up all the knowledge, techniques and methods of the average aunt in kindergarten, transferred them to YouTube and his shows, and thus secured a (fantastic) existence.
His live challenges include, for example, walking with eggs in a spoon, throwing balloons into boxes, playing "bat" and other similar activities that we all remember from our kindergarten days. What he may be missing is that he propagates gender equality, inter-ethnic tolerance, the scientific method, the right of every human being to a dignified life and other humanistic values on his shows. However, the best thing I saw at that show on Saturday was the fact that a movie theater full of children, in the middle of Zagreb, played rock, paper, SCISSORS with Dex before they threw themselves into solving a challenge. I've heard those kids use words like literally or convincingly when addressing Dex. I swear, in the queue for the hall I also heard them shouting. And nowhere are the guardians of the purity of the Croatian language.
They care about YouTube (thankfully). That's nice. This is how children learn the richness of this common language of ours, and in a decade or more no one will be able to accuse them of the alleged fact that we Serbs do not understand. It should be added here that we are talking about children who, later in their education and thanks to the language guardians named above, will never hear of a Danilo Kiš or a Marko Ristić. If anything, they'll be left with Dex.
