Dimitri Monroe (born: December 12, 1998 (1998-12-12)), also known as TheSMonroeShow, is an American^{[citation needed]} YouTuber and streamer who reviews video games, mostly action RPGs, and the communities surrounding them on YouTube.

Content

Dimitri's approach to commentary surrounding the communities, mostly controversial and touchy subjects, is a rather mellow and balanced one with the occasional hint of perversion and sexual interests. His most popular video explores Pokémon and the downfall of its quality.^{[citation needed]}

Dimitri is also a crossdresser, and cross-dresses to the point he was mistaken as transgender. In a popular video on his channel he talks about this and his negative experiences in the LGBT community as a bisexual man, stating that the identity politics of the community frustrated and invalidated him.

His earliest videos were showing off and distributing mods from series such as: Undertale, Pokémon, and Super Smash Brothers. He would occasionally upload a lot of shitposts in between serious commentary. Dimitri then moved into talking about games as a medium and their relation to journalists. He would also defend controversial anime and games (for example, Goblin Slayer) and responds to critiques of them.

While these facets have not left his content the direction in recent years has taken a stronger focus on the video game series themselves, covering topics such as Sonic The Hedgehog, Ape Escape and many others that interest him.^{[citation needed]}

Controversy

Feud with ThePedanticRomantic

In 2019, Dimitri made a video called "Trap Is Not A Slur: A History Lesson" in response to several YouTubers, including ThePedanticRomantic. This led to allegations that he was transphobic and harassing her. Dimitri's friend Jeko was also accused of stalking her in her Discord server. This resulted in her making her Twitter private. Despite these accusations from the community, Dimitri and ThePedanticRomantic remained friends privately throughout this time.
