Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini (born: October 21, 1995 (1995-10-21) [age 28]), known professionally as Doja Cat, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer of Jewish American and South African (specifically Zulu) descent. A self taught rapper and singer, she was originally a SoundCloud artist.

Her first song "So High" was uploaded on her channel in 2014,[1] although it was originally uploaded two years earlier on SoundCloud. Her songs "Go To Town" and "Candy" bolstered her to fame,[2][3] especially after their usage on TikTok, with Candy reaching 1.1M Likes on YouTube and placing #86 on Billboard. On March 30 2018, she released her debut album, named after herself, Amala. She then Released Her Next Album Hot Pink In December 2019 with The Track Say So blowing up on TikTok in January 2020 Which would get a further boost with the music video for the track being released in February 2020 which word make Her A Mainstream Artist in the process, Her fame has led to collaborations with SZA, Ariana Grande, Tyga, Post Malone, Gucci Mane, The Weeknd, Rico Nasty, Lil Nas X, Young Thug, Saweetie, Gunna, and Sia.

Although her channel is dominantly for her music videos, she sometimes posts vlogs.[4]
