DoorDash, Inc. is an American company, best known for their online food ordering app known for their brand of delivering food to many consumers via app. Based in San Francisco, California, it went public in December 2020 on NYSE and trades under the symbol "DASH".

DoorDash was created in the Fall of 2012 by university students Tony Xu, Stanley Tang, Andy Fang and Evan Moore, who, received feedback on a mobile app from a macaroon store owner asked for help, using technology for delivery. It became a success during 2018 when DoorDash took over Uber Eats in US food delivery sales, then eventually exceeded Grubhub in total sales in March 2019.
In April 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, DoorDash announced it had "stockpiled tens of thousands of gloves and bottles of hand sanitizer" and was offering them to delivery drivers for free. That month, DoorDash became the fastest-growing food delivery service.
