Dumbsville (born: September 4, 1999 [age: 25]), formerly known as dumbsvillechannel, is an American Youtube reviewer and former commentator. He dedicates his channel to various rant videos, initially related with the Sonic community, along with music and mixtapes. He also does film reviews, which became known for their very fast-paced editing inspired by "21st century humor" memes.

Content

Dumbsville opened his YouTube channel on June 6th 2012. He uploaded his first video "(OLD) Adventures in Dumbsville: Episode 0-Prolouge", uploaded on June 10th 2012. One of his first popular videos was "how to fix bad music (ft. MC Ride)" uploaded April 24th 2016, which got over 150k views. The video showed various examples of "fixing music", using various songs considered 'cringe' and enhancing them with pieces taken from various Death Grips songs.

'Sonic-Tuber' Career

Dumbsville began his career as a Sonic the Hedgehog related commentator in 2017, where he would take various videos and rant on them. Among the various focuses, one of these was rants against the haters of Sally Acorn, which he considered useless. Due to the fact that Dumbsville was attacking the general Sonic community, this would obviously cause drama.

Trueloveheart94

This was one of Dumbsville's most famous controversies. He had heavy rants against Trueloveheart94, considering him a 'manchild' - TLH was 22 years old at the time - and a person with no creativity, after reacting to "TLH Sonic X season 4" (an AMV that used SonAmy as its main topic).

At the same time as the first video's release, Dumbsville's Twitter account was banned. Every time he tried to create a new one, the account was suspended or banned again. Many theorize that TLH possibly played a part in Dumbsville's ban, due to his behavior and habit of denial. He would respond to people with different opinions to his, with replies such as "THIS IS NOT TRUE" or "LIAR", before blocking/reporting them.

After making three videos - the last one being about the aftermath that TLH hadn't changed - Dumbsville eventually stopped paying attention to him. Months later, he announced that he thought Twitter sucked because of people like TLH and that he preferred Discord (this video acted as an advertisement for his first Discord server). At this time, Dumbsville started doing things like mixtapes and various songs.

Sonic93

The second large Dumbsville rant was against Sonic93, who was infamously known for many videos where she insulted the haters of her favorite character - Silver the Hedgehog. In the first video rant about her, Dumbsville said that the one who motivated him to make video commentaries on YouTube was disappointing him. After the video came out, both Sonic93 and him started arguing for a long time, becoming friends for a while.

A couple of months later, Dumbsville announced on his (now deleted) Discord Server that he closed any connection with Sonic93, but she was still planning a video about him. He also stated that her toxic & stubborn behaviours in Discord DMs made any discussion hard to handle, forcing him to close connections very quickly.

Days after the announcement, Dumbsville uploads his last expose video about Sonic93, in which he accused the fact that she had not changed and that she was an unreliable friend, along with giving her a good luck message for the exposé video about him. After other YouTubers joined the ensuing drama, it ended for good after Sonic93 terminated her channel due to the backlash and because of an attempt to dox Dumbsville.

Change of Content

In 2020, Dumbsville decided to upload videos of things (mostly related with Sonic) that he hated more than expected. He made a video about Birds of Prey fans; considering Sonic offensive due to copypastas, attacking (the now defunct) TSSZ & SnapCube, to comparing police brutality to Sonic. Finally, he made two videos about the many problems with The Last of Us Part II - the second video being about against the haters not understanding the obvious problems.^{[citation needed]}

On October 28th 2020, Dumbsville announced his retirement from SonAmy rants, and rants about Sonic in general, possibly for the big drama related with the franchise happened that year. After this choice, Dumbsville started doing more music videos (albeit rarely) and reviewing more movies, especially the Alpha & Omega series, all of which he reviewed. The movies became a running gag on his channel.

The "Punished" Saga

Following this change in content, Dumbsville decided to sport a new design, parodying Punished/Venom Snake from Metal Gear Solid V after initially mentioning it as a joke. After he finished a few reviews of the Alpha & Omega direct to video sequels, he began a sub-series where he reads some of the comments of those defending the movies.

• After reviewing the Max Steel movie, a copyright strike was put on his channel from YouTube & Mattel. The video returned however, confirming he'd won the case.
• Along with his Avatar being a Lego minifigure of Obi-Wan Kenobi, he was often followed by an edgy custom character created on Sonic Forces.
• In April Fool's Day, Dumbsville would upload a video claiming to be about Sonadow (Sonic x Shadow), while in reality it was just clickbait.
• He thinks the rapper Destroy Lonely is cool.
• He became friends with Dillin Thomas after a small drama. However, their friendship ended in 2020 after Dumbsville removed a video he made on Gamerguyd. As of May 2023, Dumbsville has blocked Dillin Thomas on Twitter after he found that Dillin was reuploading their old podcast episodes without his consent.^{[citation needed]}
• His favorite Bad Open world game is Wheelman.
• He dislikes the game developer Neil Druckmann.
• He hates Sinder's music. After the release of her cover of CPR - Cupcakke, he uploaded a video on Twitter about it.

• He is autistic and has ADHD.
• He made a diss track on Cosmodore called "Whole Lotta Grooming". He would later make other songs like this being made including an album called "Whole Lotta Grooming Deluxe". He deleted all of these because he considered them to be "cringe". However the first "Whole Lotta Grooming" can still be seen on his second account, and "Whole Lotta Grooming Deluxe" has been archived here.
• He's jokingly called "Lego Jesus" by fans.
• His favourite game is Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. He played it specially after reaching 100,000 Subscribers.
• His first Discord server was deleted after the accusation against Sonic93. A theory stated that Dumbsville wanted a fresh restart because of the mass toxicity that occurred. The theory was later proven false after some news about Sonic93 planning to Dox Dumbsville started be reported online.^{[citation needed]}
• There's an unofficial Dumbsville account on Twitter that talks exactly like him with the same opinions. Dumbsville is aware of the account.^{[citation needed]}
