ELF Learning (formerly known as E English House) is a Japanese-American educational company and YouTuber located in Omihachiman, Japan and is run by Eric E. Kane and other people.

History[]

Personal life[]

Eric E. Kane was born and raised in Michigan, USA. He had moved to Japan in 1995, when he was under his university years, and begun his teaching career. He started teaching at a private language school, junior and senior. He opened up his own school in 2001 and started ELF's original curriculum and creating materials and assets for it.[1]

YouTube career[]

On March 22, 2006, the first ELF Learning channel was opened up on YouTube, named as "omigrad".[2] Eric published the first video on omigrad, titled "Clothes Flashcards - My Clothes Phonics and Word Families".[3] On March 19, 2010, a second ELF Learning channel was opened up.[4] On February 27, 2015, another ELF Learning channel was also opened up by the name of "ELF Kids". These channels were originally intended to teach kids English from the beginning if they are or not from America. Overtime, these channels grew, and later on, the second channel became a "teacher support" channel.

Content[]

Most, if not all of ELF Learning's content are educational. They usually post vocabulary videos, music videos, podcasts (on the teacher support channel), etc.
