Mehdi Sadaghdar (born: January 13, 1977 (1977-01-13) [age 47]), better known online as ElectroBOOM, is an Iranian-Canadian electrical engineer and YouTube personality. His videos are "hilariously painful tutorials" of electric experiments during which he often receives electric shocks. He intentionally creates situations where a shock (or sometimes fire) is created to demonstrate the dangers of electricity when not properly handled. He has made some series, such as ElectroVLOG, ElectroBoom101, and Latity.

In addition to the ElectroBOOM channel, he has a second channel called Mehditation.

Biography and career[]

Sadaghdar was born in Iran in 1977 and currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He earned a degree of Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) from the University of Tehran in 1999 and a degree of Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) from Simon Fraser University in 2006.

Personal life[]

Mehdi is married and has a daughter, Yona, who often features in his video as his "assistant", known as ElectroCUTE. She is also responsible for the piano music used in his videos. He married his wife, Sara Nafisi, on September 16, 1999.
