Elvis Aaron Presley † (January 8, 1935 - August 16, 1977 [aged 42]) was an American musician highly regarded as the King of Rock and Roll.

Early life[]

Presley was born on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi. He and his family moved to Memphis, Tennessee when he was 13 years old. He was close to his father and mother, especially his mother, who he had formed a close bond with. He had found his musical inspiration while attending an Assembly of God church.

Career[]

Presley had checked into the offices of Sun Records in August 1953, and aimed to pay for a few minutes of studio time to record a disc, which would contain the songs My Happiness and That's When Your Heartaches Begin. He and two local musicians, Winfield Moore and Bill Black had worked on songs in the recording studio.

Channel[]

The channel was created on September 22, 2005, and the first video was uploaded on December 2, 2008. Songs and audio that Elvis had made are uploaded to the channel.

Death[]

On August 16, 1977, Presley was scheduled to perform a tour in Memphis, when he was founded unresponsive in his bathroom floor. He later died at 3:30 PM, at the age of 42. On August 18, 1977, his funeral had taken place, with over 80,000 visitors attending the funeral. Outside the gates of his funeral, a car plowed into a group of fans, hospitalizing a young woman and resulting in two others dying.
