EricArchive is an American YouTuber who used to upload soundtracks from Kevin MacLeod. They have since started posting YouTube videos, but got terminated on January 11, 2021 for allegedly breaking YouTube's Terms of Service. The channel was mysteriously restored on May 20, 2024.
Termination[]
On January 11, 2021, their channel was allegedly terminated for "multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy against spam, deceptive practices, and misleading content or other Terms of Service violations." The reason why the channel got terminated is that YouTube assumed that EricArchive is a botted account due to the thumbnails of his video are nearly identical to the previous video with the URL are being the same. the only differences between those video are the titles of the music. in which they tricked YouTube into thinking that it was a botted account, although it wasn't a botted account. The channel had over 424K subscribers as of January 10, 2021 before the termination was set.
Unexpectedly, the channel was brought back on May 20, 2024. He later said in a video uploaded a couple days later that his channel was brought back without him doing anything about it nor they received the emails from YouTube stating that the channel has been reinstated back. He doesn't have plans to upload new music from Kevin any further, as Kevin MacLeod himself is uploading new ones on his own channel, making Eric's channel unnecessary as a result.[1]
Fraudulent accounts[]
Since the termination of his account, there have been numerous amounts of impersonators and deceitful accounts were created by using the usernames similar to the original, such as EricArchive, EricArchive2 and many others.
