Estefannie is an inventor, content creator, and tv host based in the United States.[2] She is best known for her Instagram and YouTube channels where she builds inventions to promote women in computer science, technology, and engineering.[3] She is also known for co-hosting the "Revengineers" on Discovery Channel.[4][5]

Biography[]

Early Life and Education

Estefannie was born and raised in Mexico[6][3] and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics from the University of Houston.[3][7]

Career

Estefannie is a full-time content creator and a practiced software engineer.[8][9] She started her online career by sharing her experiences as a female software engineer on Instagram. Her newfound online tech community which ultimately inspired her to launch her YouTube channel in 2016. Initially focused on computer science and coding tutorials, she's since shifted her content to build self-described feminine rage tech.[8][10]

Make-up Gun[11]

Estefannie was inspired to find a way to do her make-up faster. She built the Make-up gun to blast cosmetics onto her face to speed up the process. The video went viral on Instagram with over 2.5 million views.[12]

Sparks Bra[13]

As part of her self-defense invention series, Estefannie made a brassiere that shoots hot sparks. The bra makes use of ferrocerium rods to produce sparks when struck with motorized steel cutting wheels. [14] The machine is fashioned into a sheet-metal bra.

AI Litter Box

In 2022, Estefannie premiered the YouTube video for one of her larger robot projects. Inspired by her cats, she designed an AI litter box to detect and differentiate their bathroom habits. The project garnered global attention. Some online publications, omitting her name from their reviews, simply referred to her as "a woman online,"[15] a label that Estefannie has since embraced and proudly adopted on Twitter.[16]

TV[]

Estefannie is a host on a TV show called Revengineers with Mark Rober, Allen Pan, and Thea Ulrich, which premiered on April 20th, 2023, on the Discovery Channel.[17][18][19] She also made an appearance on episode 2 of This is Mark Rober.[5][20]
