ExplosmEntertainment is an American YouTube animation studio that creates short comics and video animations. They are best known as the creators of the "Cyanide & Happiness" series.

Before YouTube[]

Comics[]

Before YouTube the Explosm crew focused on doing comics on pages like Facebook, Twitter, and Explosm.net , later on 2008 they started to do some shorts on some comics, which first where pretty dull, but later on 2009, they created their first fully ledge animation, "The Man That Could Sit Anywhere". Later creating a YouTube account and uploading it there, starting a new series called Cyanide & Happiness.

Cyanide & Happiness[]

The Cyanide & Happiness Show[]

The Cyanide & Happiness Show is a web series of based on the webcomic Cyanide & Happiness. The animations are in Adobe Flash format and are voiced by cartoonists. The creators did try to pitch the show to cable networks, but they all declined. The first episode was released on YouTube on November 14, 2014, and the final episode was released in Mid-Late 2019 on VRV.

Cyanide & Happiness Shorts[]

Cyanide & Happiness Shorts is a series of shorts that feature characters from Cyanide & Happiness some of the shorts such as Junk Mail and Confession have proven overwhelmingly popular among fans of the webcomic. It became a combination afterwards. As of 2024, the shorts, along with the comics and card games are the only pieces of media Explosm is making. Believe it or not, from 2020 to 2021, these shorts aired in Syfy’s Late-night animation block TZGZ.

Channelate[]

Channelate is a series of animations that is fully separate from the Cyanide & Happiness series. It has almost the same humor but different animation.

Cyanide and Happiness Minis[]

Cyanide and Happiness Minis is a series of shorts that are much shorter versions of the formerly weekly shorts, hence the name.

The Beginning[]

When they started the YouTube channel, they uploaded the shorts that they did and later uploaded on 2010, the man that could sit anywhere, and to this day is one of the most famous shorts on the channel.

The End of Weekly Animations[]

In 2024, the Explosm crew announced in a video titled “RIP” that they would stop weekly uploads so they could focus on making higher quality animations.
