Футбольны Клуб БАТЭ (English: Football Club BATE), is a Belarusian professional football club from Borisov playing in the Belarusian Premier League, the most successful Belarusian champion. The club is also a 5-time participant from Belarus in the Champions League and a 5-time participant from Belarus in the Europa League.

History[]

The club was founded in 1973. At that time, the club played in the regional championship. The team was doing quite well. Unfortunately, in 1984, due to financial reasons, the club ceased to exist. After the fall, the other football clubs started to represent the city. In 1996, the club was reactivated as a result of an assembly to strengthen Borisov socially or economically and support from the BATE, which owned the club. The reactivated club started playing in the third league. A year later, the club was promoted to the second division. The club became professional in 1998, when it was promoted to the premier league, from which it has never been relegated. The club won 15 national championships, 5 national cups and 8 super cups.
