What's up YouTube!

―Guava Juice's intro

Stay juicy!

―Guava Juice

Roi Fabito (born: August 21, 1991 (1991-08-21) [age 32]), better known online as Guava Juice and Roi Wassabi (formerly aynakoitsroi), is a Filipino-American YouTuber known for his challenge vlog videos, challenges, DIYs and experiments, as well as being the founder of the channel Wassabi Productions.

He joined YouTube in 2006 and began making random videos with his best friend Alex Burriss, also known as Alex Wassabi, before quickly gaining popularity a few years later. Roi and Alex later founded Wassabi Productions, a group of people who create Vlogs, parodies, skits, and sketches to generate revenue on YouTube. At Wassabi Productions, Roi cosplayed Rolanda, an obnoxious, self-enamoured girl, while his best friend Alex cosplayed Richard, an equally unappealing unibrowed man. Roi left Wassabi Productions on January 27, 2016, to pursue a career as an independent online creator, launching the brand Guava Juice, which initially focused on gaming but was later revamped into a variety channel before returning to Wassabi Productions eight years later, on January 27, 2024.

Personal life[]

Roi was born in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines, as stated in his Draw My Life video on Guava Juice 2, his original gaming-turned-vlogging channel from 2014 to 2016. His mother was offered a job in Durham, North Carolina, so he moved there when he was two years old. Two years later, he had a younger brother, Reymound. He struggled in school at first because he didn't speak English, but he enrolled in an English Second Language course and got along well. His younger brother, Russell, and sister, Ariel, arrived shortly after.

Roi mentioned that as a child, he was shy, which is a stark contrast to what is shown on his YouTube channel today. He enjoys sports and plays basketball and soccer in his spare time; as a child, he was also a member of his school's basketball team.

Before YouTube, he received an undergraduate degree in film studies and created his first YouTube content in July 2006, nearly two years before he and Alex began working on their popular channel, Wassabi Productions. After high school, he attended Durham Tech Community College to study nursing before leaving to enroll in a Computer Engineering course at North Carolina State University, only to drop out again due to a lack of interest.

History[]

Roi was heavily involved in a channel called Wassabi Productions, where he and Alex Burriss (Alex Wassabi) created various videos while portraying his persona, Roi Wassabi. They worked together to create challenges, funny videos, lip syncs, parodies, and other types of videos. His biggest YouTube debut was in the viral video "Carly Rae Jepsen CALL ME MAYBE - Rolanda & Richard (Parody)". It was an enormous success.

Shortly after leaving Wassabi Productions, he continued to make gaming videos for his channel, Guava Juice, until he realized that gaming was not his style. He then did various challenges, experiments, DIYs, bath challenges, and other types of videos. He also played some games, such as Crocodile Dentist, and even pulled pranks.

After making guest appearances on the original Wassabi channel in May 2023, Roi and Alex decided to create videos together again, but this time under a new brand called Spicy Fruit, a collaboration between the two brands. They posted food and challenge videos, as well as other variety videos. On January 27, 2024, it was announced on the original Wassabi channel that Roi had officially returned after an 8-year absence.

Challenges[]

Roi took on many challenges in the latter half of the 2010s, including some that were dangerous. He usually did bath challenges, which were extremely popular on his channel, with some receiving over ten million views. He usually threw cannonballs into the baths unless there were living creatures. (Puppies, snakes) He occasionally adds food or drinks.
