Joshua (born: January 21, 2004 [age 20]), better known online as Bitzel (or Bit for short), is an American Minecraft YouTuber. He is mostly known for his Skywars Funny Moments and Skywars Trapping videos, which are both recorded on the Hypixel Network. He is also known for his deadpan humor and pixel art, which he posts on his Twitter and Instagram. Bitzel reached thirty thousand subscribers during January 2019, receiving the Hypixel YouTube rank shortly later in the same month.
Rise to Fame[]
Bitzel created his channel on August 9th, 2016 and would not make a video until November 8th, 2016. His first videos focused on Hypixel Skywars - the first series on his channel. The Hypixel Skywars series consisted of random and humorous Skywars clips. Bitzel eventually stopped the Hypixel Skywars series after episode 57 and started to upload Skywars content based on a certain theme, instead of putting together random clips like in the original series. Aside from Skywars, Bitzel started branching off to other types of Hypixel and Minecraft content, most notably SMPEarth and Minecraft Championship.
Personal Life[]
Bitzel started out his YouTube career with an anonymous reputation, refusing to reveal his voice or face in any way whatsoever. Bitzel would later reveal his voice on April 1st, 2019 (disguising it in an April Fools video), as well as his face on March 27th, 2020. Bitzel goes by the alias "Joshua Blockington". Bitzel has shown high interest for Hytale, an upcoming game from Hypixel Studios, and has repeatedly made remarks on Twitter on the unknown release date of the game. Bit has also stated that he is a fan of Nintendo and 8-bit themed art and games. This is evident by his bedroom wall, outro music (SNES Classic Edition Menu Music), profile picture, owning multiple Nintendo-related merchandise, and occasional postings of pixel art on his Twitter.

Bitzel kills Botzel with a bucket of water.
Before his voice reveal, Bitzel's outlet for communication was a soundboard - with keys bound to his numberpad. In videos, to express himself verbally, Bitzel used Botzel, a reskin of his character with a robotic and satirical personality. Bitzel killed Botzel with a bucket of water in Bitzel's "My New 'Voice'" uploaded on May 21st, 2018. The reasoning to Botzel's demise was that Botzel was understandably upset that Bitzel had replaced him with a soundboard. Bitzel has stated that Botzel has respawned in the wild because he doesn't have a spawnpoint. There is still a wild Botzel out there.

- His real life bedroom is themed around Super Mario.
- In the comment section of Bitzel's 100 subscriber special, a subscriber by the name of CamFightMe (also known as Cam), offered to help Bitzel grow his channel. CamFightMe made his first debut in Hypixel Skywars #25 and is now recognized as Bitzel's Sidekick due to his frequent participation in Bitzel's videos.
- Miscalling or misspelling Bitzel as "Blitzel" is a well-known meme, because of how often people fail to recognize that his name does not have an "L" in it.
MC Championship[]
MC Championship is a Minecraft Tournament for YouTubers and Streamers run by the Noxcrew, in which 10 teams of four compete in a series of 8 minigames decided by the participants. A point multiplier makes each game worth more as each round passes, incentivizing teams to vote for games they might be bad at early on in the event. In the end, the two teams with the most points face off in a round of ‘Dodgebolt’ to decide the winner of the tournament. This makes it possible for a team to win despite potentially having less points than the runner-up. Bitzel debuted in MCC3. Bitzel won MCC6, but has yet to return since.

- MC Championship 6: Team Blue Bats. Teamed with Fundy, fruitberries, and Captain Puffy. Placed 15th individual and his team placed 2nd overall. However, they won Dodgebolt, winning them MCC6.
