Albert Dyrlund † (October 10, 1998 - July 28, 2021 [aged 22])[citation needed], also known as Albert Soap, was a Danish YouTuber, musician, and vlogger.
History[]
Novopleco[]
Dyrlund's YouTube career began on the channel Novopleco, created on October 21, 2012, and co-owned by his friend Anton.[citation needed] The duo usually called themselves Dobbelt A (In English; Double A), as both of their first initials started with the letter A.[citation needed] The duo mostly posted vlogs and Q&A's. The duo won the award ''Vlogger of the year'' at the 2015 award show Guldtuben.[1]
Parting their ways[]
In 2016, Albert & Anton started posting less on Novopleco and more on their individual channels; however they made a video on September 9, 2016, announcing that they would still be posting on Novopleco. On April 10, 2019, after not having posted a video since July, 2017, Novopleco posted a video stating that they were back and posted 4 more videos, the last one being posted on June 1, 2019.[citation needed]
Vafler (Waffles)[]
On June 20, 2019, Dyrlund posted a music video featuring Sidney Lee, Jesu Brødre and Fie Laursen, his appearance having drastically changed, with him having a shaved head apart from 2 braids and being dressed in a crop top and boxers. The song Waffles differed tremendously from his previous songs, with ''Waffles'' in the lyrics referring to breasts. Ekstrabladet, a Danish tabloid, after having been in contact with Dyrlunds booker, stated that it was a media-stunt.[2]
Albert Soap[]
In 2019, Dyrlund went to America in order to make YouTube videos for the newly-created, English-only channel Albert Soap.[3]
Death[]
On July 28, 2021, while filming a video for his YouTube channel, Dyrlund fell 200 metres (656 feet) from Mount Seceda in Val Gardena, Italy. A rescue helicopter was reportedly called to the mountain, but Dyrlund was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 22 years old.[4][5]

- In 2018 he starred in the movie Team Albert, a comedy about trying to make a living online. The film went on to win the audience prize at the 2019 Robert awards for Danish films.[citation needed]
- He was also notable for making songs, such as Emoji and Waffles, as well as making numerous sketches.[citation needed]
- He was also notable for his activities outside Logan Paul's house involving KSI, which regularly caught the attention of the latter.[citation needed]
