Floris Damen (born: October 10, 1999),[1] better known online as Fundy (also known as ItsFundy and FFundage), is a Dutch YouTuber and Twitch streamer known for his alterations and videos about the game Minecraft.
YouTube[]
Fundy's main YouTube channel consists of him uploading videos weekly of tinkering around with the logistics and settings of Minecraft. He is known for making the Impossible game modes on Minecraft, Baby Mode, and more. His channel was created on August 11, 2014, and his YouTube channel has collectively amassed over 200 million views. Fundy is a part of the Dream SMP along with other popular streamers and YouTubers.
MC Championship[]
MC Championship is a Minecraft Tournament for YouTubers and Streamers run by the Noxcrew, in which 10 teams of four compete in a series of 8 minigames decided by the participants. A point multiplier makes each game worth more as each round passes, incentivizing teams to vote for games they might be bad at early on in the event. In the end, the two teams with the most points face off in a round of ‘Dodgebolt’ to decide the winner of the tournament. This makes it possible for a team to win despite potentially having fewer points than the runner-up.
- MC Championship 1-5: Did not participate.
- MC Championship 6: Team Blue Bats. Teamed with Fruitberries, CaptainPuffy, and Bitzel. Placed 8th individual and his team placed 2nd overall. However, their team won the Dodgebolt finale, crowning them the winners for MCC6.
- MC Championship 7: Team Pink Parrots. Teamed with TommyInnit, RTGame, and Plumbella. Placed 4th individual and his team placed 7th overall.
- MC Championship 8: Team Purple Pandas. Teamed with Krinios, KaraCorvus and Sylvee. Placed 23rd individual and his team placed 7th overall.
- MC Championship 9: Team Lime Llamas. Teamed with Dream, Tubbo and Sylvee. Placed 19th individual and his team placed 6th overall.
- MC Championship 10: Did not participate.
- MC Championship 11: Team Violet Vampires. Teamed with Quackity, TommyInnit and Wilbur Soot. Placed 9th individual and his team placed 3rd overall.
- Wilbur and Tommy mentioned they were predicted by many people on Reddit to place 6th at the highest and last at the lowest since most believed they would throw for content with Quackity playing it for the first time. These predictions were partially based on MCC10's Aqua Axolotls - which consisted of TommyInnit, Wilbur Soot, Tubbo and Pokimane.
- MC Championship 12: Team Orange Ocelots. Teamed with Burren, HBomb94, and Niki Nihachu. Placed 4th individual and his team placed 3rd overall.
- MC Championship 13: Team Cyan Candy Canes. Teamed with Ph1LzA, Quackity, and Wilbur Soot. Placed 12th individual and his team placed 6th overall.
- MC Championship 14: Team Pink Parrots. Teamed with Wilbur Soot, JackManifoldTV, and Ph1LzA. Placed 11th individual and his team placed 6th overall.
- MC Championship 15: Team Green Guardians. Teamed with ConnorEatsPants, TommyInnit, and Ph1LzA. Placed 7th individual and his team placed 6th overall.
- MC Championship 16: Team Aqua Axolotls. Teamed with Tubbo, 5up and Antfrost. Placed 7th individual and his team placed 4th overall.
- MC Championship 17: Did not participate.
- MC Championship 18: Team Lime Liches. Teamed with GeeNelly, IlluminaHD and Captain Puffy. Placed 5th individual and his team placed 2nd overall.
- MC Championship 19-29: Did not participate.
- After abusing glitches at MCC16 and MCC18, Fundy was banned from MCC for a couple of events. However, Fundy clarified during a jojosolos stream that he has not been permanently banned from the event.
Minecraft Ultimate Hunger Games[]
MC Ultimate is a Minecraft Hunger Games event for 250+ streamers. Organized by Pikaclicks, or Noah, it is known as the largest hunger games event held in the MC Community. Fundy has participated in both events so far.
- MC Ultimate Season 1: Teamed with Illumina.
- MCU S1 was based on Teams of 2.
- MC Ultimate Season 2: Teamed with RedVacktor, Ryguyrocky, and Illumina.
- MCU S2 is based on Teams of 4.
- Fundy was the last man killed in the game.
- Fundy combat-logged near the end of the game, (when he was the last one alive besides Team 1.) He later rejoined and was killed by Calvin
- Fundy had 3 kills.
Controversy[]
Jackbox stream[]
On a Twitch stream hosted by Quackity in February 2021, he and a few other content creators were playing the game Jackbox. In many parts of Quackity's stream, Fundy was making several dark humor-related jokes, mainly sexual jokes. After the stream was released, several people criticized and attacked Fundy on Twitter claiming that he was mocking the concept of abuse and sexual assault, and was undermining and making fun of people who had been affected by these subjects. However, many people defended Fundy and criticized the people who were trying to attack him, explaining that Fundy was only making jokes that, although morbid, were dark/black humor and weren't meant to attack anyone or be taken seriously.
Fundy has since responded to these criticisms and apologized on stream.[2]
MCC 18[]
During MCC 18 Fundy exploited numerous glitches while intoxicated (having consumed 8 shots of 100 proof liquor during his stream of the event) prompting criticism from the community and theories that he had been banned from the competition[3]
