Jack Colin Doherty (born: October 8, 2003 (2003-10-08) [age 20]), is an American YouTuber and Kick streamer, who is best known for his daredevil stunts and pranks in various shops and entertainment parks such as water parks and trampoline parks as well as other outdoor places such as bridges and cliffs.[1] He has done various illegal things with his friends and has had the police being contacted on him various times. Originally from Long Island, New York, he currently resides in Miami, Florida.

Family[]

His father, Mark Doherty, is from Ireland, and is his biggest supporter. He allows him to do various things his mother disapproves of. Such as shoving toys up his anus, getting pregnant, and posting videos like these on his “OF.” His mother, Anna Doherty, is from Poland, and is his biggest critic and has been furious about some of his videos. She does however still support her son and would defend him when he gets swotted or is accused of things he didn't do. His brother, Michael Doherty has been critical and supportive of him. He has taken part in various of Jack's videos but has also been critical about some of the things he does. He is also the only family member that doesn't want to be filmed without his permission. He also has a sister named Joanna. She doesn't appear in his videos very often. Jack also has a neice named Sophia, who is the daughter of Joanna. Jack also owns 2 dogs, one named Cash, the other named Major.

Rise to Fame[]

On July 14, 2016, Jack Doherty set up his self-titled channel on YouTube and uploaded his first video on September 29, 2016. Titled ‘Marker Flip Twice in a Row!!!’, the video shows him flipping a marker two times successively and being happy because of that. He earned his first 100 subscribers due to that video which set up an ideal platform for growth in the future. His channel grew fairly quickly and steadily and soon he was accumulating hundreds of thousands of views on every video he posted. His most watched video has a view count of 18 million as of March 2018. Uploaded on January 13, 2017, the video is titled ‘I Flipped All These’ and shows Jack successfully flipping multiple objects (from markers to water bottles to Total Home boxes). His other popular videos include ‘Floor is lava challenge at Walmart! (Kicked out)’, ‘Singing ‘Despacito’ on the Walmart intercom! (Kicked out)’, ‘Flips for a Kiss at the Mall’, ‘Singing ‘Rockstar’ on the Walmart Intercom! (Kicked out),’ and ‘Floor is Lava Challenge at Walmart! *Cops Called*.’

A devoted fan of the popular YouTubers the Paul brothers, Doherty’s content seems to emulate that of both Jake Paul and Logan Paul. He is very athletic which helps him perform physical stunts for his audience. At the age of seven, he started landing successful flips. His family sometimes make appearances on his channel. His father, Mark, has done so, as well as his brother, Michael. Jack has been known to skip school a lot, because he says it's good content for YouTube, and school also stresses him out. He is known to have chronic ADHD, which causes him to get in trouble due to interrupting his teachers and getting off task. He revealed in his "Skipping the last day of school" video that he had 27 unexcused absences. Jack has recorded with Ireland Boys Productions as well.

Controversies[]

Floor is lava challenges[]

In 2017, Doherty did a video of him flipping multiple objects, which gained millions of views. Since then, he has uploaded videos of himself doing Floor is Lava challenges in Target and Walmart, which resulted in him being kicked out due to his unruly behavior. A lot of his fans have subscribed to him because of these activities and vehemently defend him across multiple social media platforms. However, there are also many who call his actions rude and abhorrent. Such controversy grew after he moved to Los Angeles, as many found his behavior to be increasingly disturbing. That sparked a change in his behavior, which mitigated a lot of criticism.[2]

'Exposing' Ninja[]

On March 8, 2018, Doherty uploaded a video on YouTube in which he donated $1000 to famous Fortnite player Ninja to troll him. It gained a lot of traction as those kinds of videos were trending at the time. Two weeks after the video was posted, Doherty uploaded another video with the title Exposing Ninja.

The video consisted of screenshots of private direct messages between Doherty and Ninja where Ninja claimed to have refunded all of the previous video's donations to Doherty and asked him to take the video down. Ninja also stated that the video exposing him was not genuine.

However, Doherty disputed Ninja's claim and maintained that he had never received the refund. Later, famous Twitter user @DramaAlert uploaded Jack's video, which led to Doherty receiving a lot of dislikes and hateful comments.[3]

Altercations during livestreams[]

In August 2023, Doherty was IRL streaming with Fousey and N3ON, when Fousey threw water at Doherty for addressing him as “beta”. However, Jack didn’t stop and started making further comments as a reaction. “You’re a little b**ch! He doesn’t even have his Kick money yet. You’re f**king… imagine being 33 years old and f**king,” Jack stated. Well, Fousey then decided to slap him in response during the livestream.[4]

Just a few days prior to The Island Boys incident, Jack was subjected to a massive assault by Izi Prime at his own house. During a collaborative stream with Jack, Izi Prime attacked the co-streamer in a seemingly unprovoked attack. The assault was even brought to the attention of local police. The officials asked if Doherty wanted to press any charges but Jack decided to sign a form waiving any prosecution toward Prime and eventually everything settled down.[5]

In September 2023, Doherty go into a involved in a heated verbal rift with The Island Boys. As the verbal dispute escalated, one of the twins decided to slap Jack in front of the camera. The exact reason for the fight is still unknown, but it appeared that Jack was with other content producers when one of the Island Boys tried to barge in even though he wasn’t invited.[6]

In December 2023, Doherty was punched by a stranger who was allegedly offended by a T-shirt worn by his bodyguard. After advising the creator and team to behave, both parties got involved in a heated discussion. In a shocking turn of events, the stranger attacked and punched Jack Doherty as the rift escalated. The clash was quickly resolved as both parties decided to not take things much further.[7]

On January 10, 2024, Doherty was heading to a party with college girls in the back of his Lambo only to be pulled over by a cop for speeding. Despite being reasonable at first, Doherty mock the officer who warned him against driving too fast.[8] After the officer instructed Doherty to choose an option or risk having his license suspended, she further warned him about speeding, demanding he drive his luxury car much slower. Once she handed Jack the ticket and walked off, the streamer went right back to his routine, mocking the officer by pretending to cry.[9]

Legal issue[]

In October 2023, Doherty along with his bodyguard was at Corinna Kopf’s Halloween party when he got involved in an ugly verbal spat with another guest invited by the hostess. Things started to heat up as they carried on the conversations during the livestream. Jack’s bodyguard decided to take things physically as he attacked one of the rival guests. Words were further exchanged after the bodyguard landed a punch. This particular snippet also invited a lot of social media attention from his fans around the globe.[10] In February 2024, TMZ reported that Doherty is getting sued for assault and battery by a man named Chase Gardella claims Doherty and his bodyguard Kane Kongg - real name Justin Goslee beat him up at a party a few days before Halloween.[11]

Feud with Danny Aarons[]

In November 2023, Jack was called out by English YouTuber Danny Aarons for a boxing match.[12] In January 2024, Danny called out Jack once again on his official Twitter handle by posting, “Fight me, you little b*tch”.[13] However, Jack insult and body shame Danny by talking about his hairline and called his beard “p*bes glued to his face”.[14] On the other hand, Danny was brimming with confidence and he immediately requested Misfits Boxing to arrange the boxing fight.[15]

Grooming allegations[]

On December 21, 2023, Kick streamer Natalie Reynolds accused Doherty of grooming underage girls with the intention of having them sign OF contract. Reynolds remarked; "Jack Doherty has paid someone to take down and ban my Instagram account. Insecure narcissist is mad he can't make money off me anymore and I'm releasing the truth. Stick to grooming minors."[16] In another social media post, she wrote; "Oh btw the grooming thing ain’t a joke lol. This girl was 17 and jack waited months for her birthday to get her drunk and sign a contract on a yacht…"[17] Doherty resonded to Reynolds' accusations; "Dumbest accusation ever. Stop giving this clout-chasing w**re attention. Her whole account is a fan page for me, Sam, and N3on."[18] DramaAlert shared Reynolds' tweets, with fans reacting outrage with Doherty, with one fan saying "He learned the Andrew Tate way."[19][20]

On March 14, 2024, N3ON claimed that Doherty signs girls to Onlyfans contracts when they’re still underage and under the influence.[21] On March 17, Jack made a response video on X debunking N3ON's claims.[22]

Kick Ban[]

On January 7, 2024, Doherty was banned on Kick due to women flashing themselves on his stream without censorship.[23] He was unbanned a day or two later.

False copyright claims[]

On January 11, 2024, English YouTuber Memeulous took to Twitter to disclose that Doherty had claimed copyrighted content on his video titled, 'We Watched JACK DOHERTY'. Memeulous shared a screenshot of the email that YouTube sent him.[24] Memeulous later went on to accuse the Kick streamer of abusing YouTube's copyright system. Fellow YouTuber ImAllexx disclosed that one of his videos featuring Doherty was claimed on the platform.[25] Doherty was criticized for falsely copyright-claiming videos despite his channels' collective size. Later YouTube resolved the claims on Memeulous and ImAllexx's videos.[26][27]

Abuse allegations[]

In March 2024, Jack requested that his girlfriend McKinley Richardson pose for a thumbnail. McKinley was visibly emotional and in tears, she said; "Just give me a second." In response, Doherty said; "Hey, just look at the camera real quick. It's a good thumbnail. I'm kidding. I was kidding. But come on! For real. I'm kidding. You're so pretty, though. McKinley, I'm so sorry." He then the cameraman to film McKinley, saying; " McKinley, I want to show them how hot you look when you cry. Look at how fucking hot you are right now. You're an attractive bad... guys, I can't leave her. She's an 11 out of 10 when she cries. What the shit, you look puppy dog. I'm sorry. Are you okay? That's a great thumbnail. Oh, my gosh!" X user MystiqueClips posted the 44 second clip, accusing Doherty of being "abusive" towards his girlfriend.[28]

Banned from Disneyland[]

Jack Doherty has added Disney’s parks to the list of people, places, and things he has annoyed. The professional nuisance found himself trespassed from Walt Disney World yesterday. Via Doherty’s TikTok and Instagram, he announced he was being removed from Disney property. A Sheriff’s deputy can be seen by his side writing up either the trespass order or some other paperwork:
