Lucas Lee (born: April 23, 1993 (1993-04-23) [age 30]), better known online as Luni, is a Japanese-American YouTuber who develops games on the platform Gacha. He is well-known for creating the games, Gacha Life, Gacha Club and his most recent game, Gacha Life 2.

Luni has been the subject of controversy which originally surrounded his game Gacha Life, for despite having a 9+ age rating, the game had suggestive themes such as being able to put lingerie on your character, being able to curse in the chat rooms, a dedicated chat room for 18+ that anyone could access, very inappropriate poses like thrusting and twerking, making clothes the same color as their skin, referencing hentai, and for not preventing its use for 18+ content.

He did later introduce an update to prevent any future inappropriate content being made on the Gacha Life app. Despite the update was meant to clear up all the negative things and make things a lot more family friendly, the update still received backlash from the community as the poses that replaced the inappropriate ones didn’t look good plus the blush options were dimmed and the game never got updated on iOS[2]. Luni made sure the Gacha Club game made it impossible for users to make 18+ content and stated that “Lunime will not be liable for explicit content created outside the game. It is the sole responsibility of the user for any explicit content posted on third-party apps.”

Gacha Club update[]

In August 15 2023, Luni updated Gacha Club and Gacha Life, making Gacha life have Gacha Club items, and removing the GachaTubers Club. However most Android and IOS users were not happy about the update because the game had some bugs, such as the hope butting popping up, random ads randomly spearing, not saving characters, and the import was not working.
