Cyprien Iov (born: May 12, 1989), better known as Cyprien (formerly known as Monsieur Dream), is a French comedy YouTuber, best known for uploading comedy sketches and skits.
As of 2023, his channel has amassed over 14.4 million subscribers, making it the second most subscribed channel in France.[1] He was previously the most subscribed French YouTuber until he was surpassed by Squeezie in 2019. He has garnered over 3 billion video views on his channel.
Personal life[]
Cyprien was born in Nice, France to parents of Romanian origin. He has an older brother and a younger brother and sister; he mentions that he and his older brother fought a lot as children.
Throughout his life, he has had a strong interest in drawing, creating comics and later enrolling in an art class in Nice. His first job was at age 16, working a summer job in a hardware store: his love for drawing led to him doodling on bags of cement when he was bored. By age 17, he had garnered a small following from posting his drawings on an online blog. This blog led to his discovery of the websites Dailymotion and YouTube.
He attended university in Aix-en-Province; however he details that, in 2007, he voluntarily skipped exams to attend a convention in Paris for those who work online.[2]

Friendship with SQUEEZIE[]
On February 13, 2022, Cyprien uploaded a video in which he shared some details about his personal life and discussed the future of his YouTube channel.[3] In the video, he revealed that he had become a father and also mentioned his ongoing projects, including the development of Season 2 of his cartoon show, "L'Épopée Temporelle." However, amidst the overwhelming demands from his fans, one question stood out: "What happened between you and Squeezie?"
Cyprien explained in the video that approximately two years ago, Squeezie abruptly stopped communicating with him and distanced himself. Speculation arose that this may have been due to an incident in 2018 when Squeezie accidentally leaked Cyprien's old phone number.[4] However, Cyprien did not delve into specific details and chose not to dwell on the matter. It seemed evident that both individuals had concluded their friendship on amicable terms.
Following the release of Cyprien's video, on February 14, 2022, Squeezie responded via a tweet. He acknowledged that there were personal reasons behind his decision to step away from Cyprien but expressed his desire to avoid turning the situation into public drama. Squeezie wished Cyprien all the best in his new journey as a father and offered his support.[5]
Since then, neither Cyprien nor Squeezie have provided further public statements on the matter. It appears that both content creators have chosen to respect each other's privacy and focus on their respective endeavors.
