We are Element Animation, a team who create hilarious short videos to brighten up your day.

―Element Animation

Element Animation is an English animation team from Scunthorpe who creates animated videos, usually about Minecraft, on YouTube

History[]

Element Animation first became popular when they released a video entitled “An Egg’s Guide To Minecraft”, which was later advertised by fellow YouTuber SethBling after they created a collaborative animated video with him called “Bite-Sized Minecraft”.

Before this point, they had been releasing a web-series known as “The Crack” for 14 months which gained them approximately 3,000 subscribers. That number has risen dramatically over the few months that followed. The videos they upload vary slightly, their original series “The Crack” currently has 20 episodes and is into its second season. Element turned “An Egg’s Guide to Minecraft” into a series following the success of the first episode and they release each installment roughly once a month.

Sometimes, between episodes, they have other short videos such as “10 Minutes of Mustache” or “Nom Egg/Pig/Thing”. In the past they have released Vlogs 1 and 2, they are also planning a third. In the vlogs, the viewers can contribute their questions, comments, or fan art to be presented in the next vlog.

Other Channels[]

Element Animation has a second channel known as "Element Shorts" in which they create even shorter animations, the shortest being 14 seconds, including the outro.

They also have a channel named "Element Animation 2" in which they create videos that didn't get to the main channel.

Series[]

The Crack[]

"The Crack" is Element Animation’s first animation series and takes up most of their uploaded videos. The series follows the everyday adventures of the four animated eggs, Dan, Jason, Chrisi and occasionally the Mustache Guy. On their adventures, they meet lots of other web-based personalities such as Charlieissocoollike, Sam Pepper, PointlessBlog, and so on.

The episodes mostly begin with an opening shot of a kitchen worktop where Jason bounces up to Dan, yelling his name. This has been the norm since the episode “The Visitor” where the kitchen was first shown. The first season ended when Element Animation had been making videos for one year. Season Two later began with the episodes “Hacked Account” and “Hacked Again”, a story arc over three episodes. Episode 3 "We Weren't Hacked!?" was released later on.

Characters[]

  • Dan: The overall main character of the series. He's the only one of his friends with common sense, and usually ends up putting up with Jason's anticts.
  • Jason: Dan's best friend, and the deutragonist. Jason is portrayed as being crazy, and extremely dumb, usually having outbursts on certain occassions. He is the main protagonist of An Egg's Guide To Minecraft.
  • Chrisi: The only female of the main trio. Unlike Dan, she doesn't respond to Jason's antics as negatively as he does, and can even go along with them at times. She dislikes being called a boy.
  • Moustache Guy: A mysterious egg, with a moustache. He never does anything, other than sway back and forth, all the while smiling
  • Clive & Spud: Two potatoes who act as policeman. In "The Fugitive" they mistake Jason for a runaway criminal. Spud is stabbed by a fork, by one of the three, quickly after his debut.
  • Durian the Enduring: A villainous who is the main antagonist of "Jason becomes a SUPERHERO!" He attempts to takeover the kitchen, but is thwarted by Jason. The bloopers reveals he has a brother named "Dorian the Explorian".
  • Brocolis: A group of brocolis who worship Jason, after he saved them in one of his adventures. In The 12 Days of Christmas series, they multiply off-screen when not being looked at .

An Egg's Guide to Minecraft[]

"An Egg’s Guide to Minecraft" is the foremost series from Element Animation. There are currently 15 episodes (the 11th being an April fool's joke in 2013). The episodes follow the Jason from The Crack as he travels through the world of Minecraft accompanied by the game's main character, Steve. The plot consists of Jason and Steve attempting to find Notch, the creator. Each episode has, so far, ended in a cliff-hanger and is hilariously comedic. Each of the installments has over 1 million views each making them Element Animation’s most popular videos.

Bite-Sized Minecraft[]

Bite-Sized Minecraft is a series of humorous shorts about the game "Minecraft". The videos are posted by SethBling and there are currently three of the videos with one currently in development.

Element Animation has a few miscellaneous animations. Such as Villager News, Christmas with the villagers, Intelligence Test, Terraria The Animated Series, and shorts for Villager #9's Twitter account.

Villager News[]

Villager News is a series of Minecraft animations featuring a villager news press which will talk about the recent news that happened in the Minecraft world. The personalities of the villagers are derpy, funny and stupid, usually making sarcastic jokes that also mocks the stubborness of the Bureaucracy in the real world. Most of the time it's for comedy purposes. The latest episodes are about how the villagers discover that a witch accidently poured a potion into a lake, making the lake turn any creature that enters, or drinks it, giant.

Characters[]

  • Villager #4: The former news anchor for the series. He could've been distinguished by his "sexy" moustache. In "Villager News - WAR!" He ended up dying, whilst helping in the big battle against the Creepers
  • Villager #5: Villager #4's replacement, who looks almost exactly like him.
  • Villager #9: The Villager News on-screen reporter, and presumed main protagonist of the series. Every time he appears he says "Thank you Villager #4/5" and proceeds to report on the main storyline of the episode. He was the one who saved everyone during the big Creeper war.
  • Testificate Man: The local superhero, loved by everyone, despite being a testificate native. He claims to be "better" then the other villagers as stated in "The Giant Problem". He received his own book titled “Testificate Man And The Quest To Become More Awesome”.
  • The Mayor: The village's mayor who is just a child villager, wearing a monocle and a hat. He is just as dumb as the others, stupidly making himself a hostage in "Villager News 3" whilst trying to negotiate with the “crazed lunatic”
  • Witch: A witch who lives near a lake, north of the Village. After creating a potion that could potentially stop world hunger, she ran to show everyone, however tripped and caused the potion to fall into the lake. Which ended up starting an outbreak of giant mobs
  • Private Detective: A private detective hired by The Mayor, in order to find where the giant mobs were coming from. He likes placing doors and bursting through them for no reason
  • Villager #45: A villager, who was wrongly accused of taking another villager hostage, when making himself toast. Anyone who entered his house was considered a "hostage"
  • Creepers: A group of mobs, that served as the main antagonists of the "War" two-parter. They were led by a giant Creeper that was shoved into the lake, and turned giant. If said Creeper went on to explode, it would’ve destroyed the world and killed everyone
  • Fake Santa: A villager disguised as Santa Claus. He usually tells people to get in his bag, for unknown reasons, presumably for kidnapping them. He was the focus of the song "What's In My Big Sack?", in which he kidnaps all of the village's children.
  • Bob the Snow Golem: A Snow Golem whose job was to protect the village. He was a prankster, usually throwing snowballs at people. It caused him to be locked away, but he later made a promise to change, as long as he never threw snowballs again. He failed his mission, as he needed to do it to save everyone from a horde of Zombies.
  • Testificates: The Villager's rivals who went to war with them after one made fun of Villager #4's moustache. They have their own News program called "Testificate News".
  • Dr. Inconsiderate: Testificate Man's arch-nemesis who's an evil genius and does evil things. He also makes people say "How Inconsiderate!" Which seemingly helps him win from what Testificate Man's reaction showed.
  • Jeff The Evil Roomba: Another enemy of Testificate Man, who appeared at the end of Testificate Man: The Movie. As you can tell by the name, he’s an evil Roomba named Jeff
  • Villagers: Background Villagers who don't do much, usually doing other things as the main plot goes on.
