Bradey Alessandro Avenatti (born: October 15, 2005) better known online as Bradeyland, is an American YouTuber, video creator, music reviewer, commentator, and former Halloween animatronic collector. He was known for making videos based around the holiday Halloween, however he lost interest in it and began to post videos about his love for music and his vinyl record collection in 2024. He collected animated animatronic Halloween decorations that consisted of spooky phrases, movements, functions, and designs from a Halloween retailer known as Spirit Halloween. These animatronics ranged from $100 to $500 and he purchased between 6 and 15 every year to do reviews, demos, and many other types of videos based around them. He posted all sorts of videos about these animatronics and Halloween in general until 2022 when he announced that he had stopped collecting and wasn't interested in the decorations anymore. In 2024 he shifted his focus to the much bigger love he has for music, and began posting new videos about that.
He had over 70 of Halloween animated decorations, some of which he kept out on display and some that he put into storage due to lack of space or being faulty. He was very well known for his series titled "Smoldering Reviews" in which he reviewed these animatronics and other Halloween decorations. There was over 200 episodes of this series, the first episode was released in 2015 and the final episode was released in 2024. He is also known for his popular video titled "Deans Party Mania Halloween 2019" which gained traction very quickly and has obtained well over 20 million views. He also did some skits, live streamed occasionally, and had done many other mini series and other random videos. He created his channel on June 24, 2013 and made over 800 videos about his Halloween collection, but on April 10, 2024 he began to post videos about his vinyl record collection and his love for music.
2013 - 2015[]
Bradey created his YouTube channel on June 24, 2013 at the young age of 7 years old. He was not sure what his channel was going to be about but he just wanted to be on YouTube as he had watched it for a while. He picked the name Bradeyland because he wanted to make his channel about everything that he liked and enjoyed. He was thinking of his channel being like his "land" filled with everything he likes. During 2013 and 2014 he uploaded random videos of him gaming, collection videos, and home videos from 2011.
It wasn't until the summer of 2015 when he started to upload Halloween content. He began to chat with other Halloween YouTubers and uploading content more frequently and consistently. He began his well known series "Smoldering Reviews" in August of 2015. He did many other types of Halloween videos throughout the end of 2015 including Online Halloween Prop Reviews, Top 10s, and videos touring the Halloween section of stores.
During this time he also did a few pranks and played Minecraft. He would also just upload any video he could think of or any idea that he thought was good. Throughout this time all of his Halloween decorations remained in his spare bedroom. This room was always empty up until Bradey began to use it as a space for his Halloween decorations in 2012. He began calling it the Halloween room and it slowly got more full throughout 2013, 2014, and 2015.
2016 - 2017[]
During 2016, Bradey continued to upload Halloween content and started multiple new series. One of these series was called Plush Movies in which he would make videos with plushies and puppets in the style of SuperMarioLogan. These videos often included a LambChop puppet and a Grumpy Cat plushie. When new decorations started coming out he did videos talking about them as they came out. Due to lack of space in the Halloween room Bradey moved all of his animatronic decorations out of the spare room and into his garage, making the spare room a lounge room with a couch, a TV, a table, and shelves that had Funko Pops, books, and box-sets on it, and the garage a new Halloween garage.
When Halloween stores began opening he did videos touring them. He also began a series titled "The Crazy Kid Series" in which he plays a crazy kid that gets angry easily. There are currently 20 episodes and he destroys multiple items and gets angry at his mom for always recording him. In one episode Bradey steals a golf cart and in another Bradey submerges a camera in water. At first some believed this to be real but he confirmed them to be skits. In 2017 he really began to upload consistently and began to purchase more decorations to review.
During the times where nothing new Halloween related was happening he would upload skits, upload random videos, start new series, or go live in a series he called "Bradeyland Live". He uploaded videos of him talking, telling stories, or giving updates and In May of 2017 he dyed his hair a teal color toward the front. He also began doing "Halloween Parties" where he would activate a handful of his animatronics at once in loud chaos. These parties last from 10 to 30 minutes.
2018 - 2019[]
In 2018 he continued to do his usual Halloween videos, skits, live streams, updates, and more. His channel really started to do well in 2018 and he slowly gained more subscribers. 2018 was the first year where he really got a lot of animatronics, beating his past record and getting more than he ever has. 2018 is currently the year that he got the most animatronics. In 2019 he began a mini Halloween games series in which he slowly eliminated Halloween animatronics in a certain group in a series until he had a winner. He has done this ten times with ten different types of animatronic decorations. These series have lasted from one week to one whole month. The longest one was titled "The Mega Games" and consisted of every animatronic that he owns. That series began on May 11, 2019 and ended on June 30, 2019.
There are 116 episodes of these series total. Each series is called "The ____ Games" the blank being filled in with whatever type of animatronic it is, for example clown or zombie. In 2019 he uploaded his most videos and purchased the most decorations to review. He got a lot of animatronics in 2019 but just missed his record in 2018. This means that 2018 still remains as the year that Bradey purchased his most animatronics. He purchased 18 that year and only 13 in 2019. He began doing edited demo videos for all of the animatronics he purchased and did four store tours of Spirit Halloween, where he gets most of his animatronics. This is the most videos that he has ever had to do during a Halloween season despite buying less animatronics than 2018. He also continued to do livestreams and upload skits throughout the end of 2019.
2020[]
In 2020 Bradey did more Smoldering Reviews, live streams, and Halloween prop parties. Towards the end of 2019 but mainly at the beginning of 2020 Bradey did many Smoldering Reviews on props and items he had that he had not previously done one on. He said his goal was to "Do a Smoldering Review on everything that was accessible to him". This means he wouldn't dig in the attic, where he stores animatronics not in use, to do a review and that he would only do one on things that were easily accessible.
He also began a new series called "Prop Battles". In each episode two of his animatronics would be put against each other and it was up to his subscribes to vote in the comments on which one was better. He listed the first 21 episodes as season 1 and planned to do a season 2 and 3 but after the tenth episode it was canceled. In May of 2020 he decided to put about 20 of his animatronic decorations away. He would then leave about 15 out in the garage and move 15 back into the spare bedroom transferring it from a lounge room back into his Halloween room.
The Halloween room was filled with animatronics and other horror items and the garage was cleaner although it still had Halloween decorations in it. The couch from the lounge room and the clear table were moved out to the garage making a little lounge area out there. He also began a mini series titled "Quick Updates" in which he would quickly give an update about his channel, his animatronics, or something else Halloween related in a short video. On June 26, 2020 he began his yearly sneak peak series for 2020 as Spirit Halloween released their first seasonal sneak peak.
He continued to do demo videos and Smoldering Reviews on the animatronics that he purchased in 2020. He ended up getting 15 animatronic decorations for the 2020 Halloween season, which does not beat the previous years but still is a lot. Towards the end of the buying season he rearranged the Halloween room to where it was a complete clown room. He took all of the clown animatronics that he got in 2020 along with ones he had got in previous years and put them in that room. He also took mini clown dolls, figures, and hanging props to add more decoration.
The rest of the animatronics that he got in 2020 where put in his garage. Because he got 15 animatronics in 2020, His streak of getting over 10 every year continued. Towards the end of 2020, right after his 15th birthday, Bradey began a break from his YouTube channel and his Instagram page. This break lasted all throughout the end of 2020 and the first 3 months of 2021.
2021[]
On April 2, 2021 Bradey returned to his Instagram page and uploaded a brand new video to his YouTube channel. He began uploading reviews of the animatronics and props that he did not do reviews on that he got in the 2020 Halloween season to finish up the videos for the year prior before the 2021 Halloween season began. On May 12, 2021 he revealed via his Instagram that he had dyed his hair a dark brown color as he claims he never really liked his dirty blonde color and always wanted to dye it brown.
Bradey then went on another short break only to return on June 24, 2021 for his 8th YouTube anniversary. In the special video he uploaded for the anniversary he said that he had more Smoldering Reviews planned to upload and that he would be back for the 2021 Halloween season. Then toward the end of June he announced that for this Halloween season he would not be using his Instagram page any longer and that he would be just focusing on his YouTube channel. He deleted his Instagram page entirely a few days later.
He finished out a few Smoldering Reviews left that he had to do from the year prior right before Spirit Halloween released their first part of the new 2021 Halloween animatronic decorations. This year they did it differently, they released 10 of their animatronics at once, so Bradey did 11 separate sneak peek videos (one extra video for an online exclusive animatronic) all in one day (July 16, 2021), which was the day after Spirit Halloween announced the animatronics. On the same day that he uploaded the first 11 of his 2021 sneak peek videos, Bradey also updated his channel banner and profile picture for the first time in over 3 years to a brighter color scheme. Bradey posted all of his Smoldering Reviews and demo videos for his 2021 Spirit Halloween animatronics on his channel in October of 2021.
2022[]
After Bradey finished his Smoldering Reviews and demo videos for the 2021 Halloween season on October 23, he began yet another break from YouTube. Due to replies to comments by Bradey in his comment sections, it was to be believed that this hiatus would be much longer than any of his before and the reason for it being "personal things" going on in his life that he needed time to figure out. This of course means that there had been no Bradeyland 2022 content so far. However Bradey unexpectedly broke the silence on April 25, 2022, just over six months since the final video of the 2021 Halloween season. Unfortunately this video was not a return to the channel but was in fact declaring the official end to the Bradeyland channel, the reason for this ending being Bradey's need to focus more on his life and his fading interest in the Spirit Halloween company. He however deleted the video about a month after it was uploaded and didn't post to his channel again until September 9, 2022. The video he posted was a better explanation as to why he wasn't posting videos anymore. In the video he stated that he was no longer interested in collecting Halloween animatronics and that his love for music led him to pick up a new hobby, collecting vinyl records.
2024[]
Bradey did not post at all for the entirety of 2023. He finally broke the hiatus on April 1, 2024 when he posted his 228th and final Smoldering Review, an April Fools day joke in which he was reviewing a fall decoration. 1 week later on April 8, 2024 he posted the official announcement of the "new Bradeyland" in which he officially stated that he was done posting Halloween content and he would begin posting new content starting on April 10th.
Smoldering Reviews []
Bradey began his most popular series "Smoldering Reviews" on August 5, 2015 with the first episode where he reviewed a zombie squirrel prop. He uploaded even more episodes in 2016 and really began consistently making them in 2017. Some of the older episodes are only 1 minute or under a minute long but the newer ones range from 5 to 20 minutes each. In these videos he reviews Halloween animatronics, props, and decorations that he had and talks about their details, explains the setup process, gives a rating, and does a demo if necessary.
Every decoration or animated prop that he owned has it's own "Smoldering Review". He usually made the reviews as he purchased animatronics during the Halloween season. During the off-season he usually uploaded Smoldering Reviews on items that he had for awhile but never got around to doing a review on. The name of this series came from an animatronic that was released at the time Bradey was creating the series. It was a smoldering zombie animatronic that lit up like it was on fire and burning.
In late 2019 and early 2020 Bradey began a mission to do a review on everything in his Halloween garage. He had completed that task with the exception of a few items. The series had gotten a wide range of support from his subscribers and became his most popular series. Beginning in late 2020 the reviews slowed down a great deal. Bradey began to post fewer and fewer of them until he completely stopped after the 227th episode in October of 2021. He didn't post another one until April 1, 2024. It has been confirmed that it was the final episode of the series.
Sneak Peek Videos and Store Tours []
Each year Spirit Halloween, the Halloween retailer company that Bradey got the majority of his Halloween decorations from, release sneak peek videos in which they preview a Halloween animatronic they will sell that year. These sneak peeks usually occur in the month of July as stores begin to open in August. Bradey did videos covering each animatronic as they came out. He gave his thoughts on them and went into the detail of them. As the stores opened he would do multiple store tours through the Spirit Halloween store. Each year Spirit Halloween has two new themes.
With each theme comes a display. For instance, in 2019 they had a boat theme. Each year there is a theme in the front of the store (by the entrance) and one in the back. Throughout August, September, and October Bradey did multiple tours through Spirit Halloween and did Smoldering Review videos on the animatronics that he purchased. Bradey also did tours of the Halloween section of other stores such as Walmart, Target, Big Lots, CVS, and many more.
Online Reviews[]
Online Reviews was a series that was started by Bradeyland in July of 2015. It was his first series that gained traction. In each video he reviewed a Halloween animatronic online. He would read the description of the animatronic, look at the pictures, discuss the price, discuss the look, and more. He usually did this with animatronics he did not own. Many of his earlier subscribes really enjoyed this series and even asked him if they could do one of their own like it.
There was only about 15 episodes of the series but they were his most popular at the time. He was going to continue the series but it ended in August of 2015 as a result of his series "Smoldering Reviews" replacing it. It has some of Bradey's earliest videos about Halloween.
Other Short & Canceled Series []
Besides Online Reviews, Bradey has done many other series that only lasted a few episodes due to them being canceled, forgotten, or Bradey losing interest in them. Examples of this are Year Reviews, Props Having Conversations, Horror Character Reviews, and many others. In the series Year Reviews Bradey reviewed and rated a year of Halloween animatronic decorations from the retailer Spirit Halloween. This included the animatronics they released that year as well as the themes that the animatronic were placed in at stores. This series was canceled after the second episode.
In the series Props Having Conversations Bradey would use a text to voice program and a video editor to edit voices of teaser videos of Halloween animatronics from Spirit Halloween. This would give the effect that the animatronics were talking. He would make multiple animatronics talk and have silly conversations with each other. This only lasted one episode and was canceled.
In the series Horror Character Review Bradey would review classic horror villains from classic horror movies. His first and last episode was on the character Michael Myers from the Halloween movie franchise. In the video he gave a rating on certain details about the character. The series was canceled after it's first episode. Bradey has started many series that he had ended up canceling but also did plenty of series that he pursued.
Music Reviews[]
In April of 2024 Bradey announced that he would be shifting the focus of the content on his YouTube channel for the greater good of his interest. He announced this after he took an over a year long hiatus from his channel due to the fact that he lost interest in collecting Halloween animatronics. He has begun a new series called "Music Reviews", very reminiscent of his past series "Smoldering Reviews". With the start of this series he has officially shifted his channel over to a music channel, and in each episode he reviews the music that he loves. Most episodes are on albums but Bradey has stated that he might do other kinds of music reviews such as songs alone & music videos in the future of the series.
