Starry (born: May 27, 2003), also known as Peridot Ciocîrlan, is a Romanian YouTuber of the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. He is known for his iconic rips and his mod The Cursed.
History[]
Starry joined YouTube in December 2013 and uploaded his videos about glitches in Plants vs. Zombies 2. He also reuploaded videos from YouTubers who deleted their original vids like Azure Crystal's.
Starry makes memes and music rips from not only Plants vs. Zombies but also other media.
Starry later worked on his own Plants vs. Zombies mod called The Cursed, with every character replaced by people who supported him in those days.
He is currently working on the sequel of the mod from the first game, which is called Plants vs. Zombies 2 Stardust. It would have been Plants vs. Zombies 2: The Cursed, but because the developer of this mod, Allah, neglected his designs for the mod. After this, he decided to disband him and decided to create a separate mod.
Starry's mascot changed from a similar looking Jeff (a basic zombie with a cone, bucket, screen door, ducky tube, and a mustache), then Thyme Warp in the former's costume, and finally an original mascot named Starry, a humanoid Starfruit in a yellow dress. He then renamed his channel into Starry.
Peridot later involved in controversies with Stefan25897 due to his toxic tendencies in his Discord server. Stefan mentioned that Peridot removed his art because he disliked it. On the other hand, several Discord users called him out for his behaviors, with some of them getting banned by him. Some small YouTubers claimed that they were under the victims of Peridot due to them stealing his music tips idea, which were mostly false. In variations, Peridot refused to accept criticism and behaved immaturely, as well as changing nicknames of certain users to inappropriate ones. In response to Stefan's document, Peridot "apologized" to his fans and claimed that he would leave YouTube to change his persona, but there was no difference regardless.
Peridot then admitted to grooming a child. After all of the incidents, he moved to Bilibili, abandoned his old YouTube account, removed almost all of the contents on November 10, 2021, and then officially shut down his channel on January 4, 2022, as a result, all of his videos were set to private, and lost all of his views. This was measured to avoid hate.

- The Cursed mod was much of a meme mod, and it was one of the popular and the best non-Chinese Plants vs. Zombies mod.
- Starry was the person who started the Plants vs. Zombies 1 gameplay modding community. After the release of his mod a lot of mods came out after it.
- He was the creator of the famous quote "I Sold My Wife Internet Connection" from ItsPforPea. He still uses this quote in random videos that he creates and in some random video comments.
