Sahil Habibi, better known online as The Progressive Voice, is an American political commentator and columinist. Sahil looks at news and politics through a progressive lens, while also occasionally reporting on "beefs" between progressives online and drama in the leftist community.

Along with his YouTube channel, Habibi has written for The Huffington Post and Progressive Army.

Personal Life and Views[]

Sahil lives in California, and is of Arabic descent. In his spare time, he enjoys the NBA and is a Los Angeles Lakers fan. He also enjoys video games such as Street Fighter, and is a avid anime viewer.

He has described himself using political labels such as liberal, progressive, and social democratic.

Collaborations[]

Sahill has interviewed several other YouTubers, most pointedly, his close friend Anthony Fantano of the theneedledrop. Other interviewees include Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk, David Pakman of The David Pakman Show, and David Doel of The Rational National.

Ana Kasparian of The Young Turks follows Sahil on YouTube and social media. Founder Cenk Uygur has expressed interest in bringing him onto the network.[1]
