Avril Ramona Lavigne (born: September 27, 1984) better known as Avril Lavigne is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her YouTube music videos. Her most popular video is the music video for her song "Girlfriend" which has over 500 Million views.
Career[]
At age 16, she signed a record deal with Arista Records and released her debut album Let Go in 2002, which has some of he most successful singles, Sk8er Boi and Complicated. Later in 2004, she released her second studio album Under My Skin which became her first album to reach the top on the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S.A. The album sold 10 Million copies worldwide. Her third album, The Best Damn Thing was released in 2007 and reached No. 1 in 7 countries worldwide. The lead single of that album, Girlfriend, became her first single to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S.A. Her fourth and fifth albums Goodbye Lullaby (2011) and Avril Lavigne (2013) was commercially successful and was certified gold in Canada and other countries. Her sixth album, Head Above Water, was released in 2019.
In 2021, she revealed that she's working with famous artists such as Machine Gun Kelly and more. She was even featured in Willow's song GROW. She also signed with the record label by Travis Barker DTA Records. She later released her lead single Bite Me of an upcoming album Love Sux. She also said that this album will focus more on her pop-punk roots and female empowerment.
Avril also supported fellow singer & songwriter Olivia Rodrigo on one night of her 'SOUR' Tour in Toronto, where they sang Avril's hit Complicated from 2002.
