James Swire (born: May 30, 1997 (1997-05-30) [age 26]), better known online as Jameskii (or James Prime), is a Danish-American YouTuber who mainly does comedy and gaming moments videos. He often streams on Twitch and sometimes makes highlight videos.

History

James has a wide range of YouTube videos and series on his channel: one of the earliest and most known series is called "VRChat in a nutshell" where he experiences VRChat and meets people with different types of personalities and characters from other games. He usually plays with a lot of his friends. He has also played other games, such as Roblox, Fortnite, CS: GO and Apex Legends for funny moment videos. In 2018, he was primarily making solo videos due to his crazy neighbor situation.

Before 2017, James was known as Kiisly/KiislyLive/KiisliyMLG which he was known as a professional CS:GO Player and SFM Animator. He was famous by TF2's parody of Harry Einfield's Loads of Money. He posted a selfie on Twitter, and a week later, on September 1, 2018, he uploaded an official face reveal video on YouTube[1] which was later deleted.

On June 3, 2019, he created a channel named James Prime, where he would upload some vlogs on the channel (however there were also some random videos on there).

Copyright strikes & claims

On December 19, 2018, James received his first copyright strike because one of his Roblox videos contained about 30 seconds of a song made by Tekashi 6ix9ine.

On January 4, 2019, James made a video about five copyright claims he received by CollabDRM on a TikTok video which contains a video clip of Rebecca Zamolo. However, she wasn't aware of the situation and CollabDRM had also attempted to sue him for defamation and making false claims that he hasn't replied to them. They also tried to offer him "licenses" ($300/each license) to the clips as long as he would delete his statements and remain silent. Anyhow, the situation didn't end up getting resolved and as a result, James had to remove his video to avoid getting a strike. On February 1, 2019, he received another copyright strike because of a sound effect on a VRChat video, but it has been quickly withdrawn.

James got several copyright claims without any claims by other companies, which seriously affected James' mental health. He talked about having a "painful surgery because of existing health condition escalated by stress caused by Collab situation". There weren't any signs of cancer or other diseases and he is currently recovering from it.

Controversies

Allegations against Twomad

On February 14, 2024, YouTuber Twomad was revealed to have been found dead in his apartment. Hours after the news broke out, James made a tweet[2] claiming that he was a rapist and a pedophile, and attempted to murder him multiple times, also saying that Twomad planned to take out multiple lives by driving recklessly while under the influence of drugs, and preyed on a 13 year old girl in mental hospital. He made a second tweet[3] on February 16, saying that Twomad put a Bullet hole in his office and James was told to wear a Bulletproof vest in public. He witnessed a SWAT team with ballistic shields outside of his home, and had to cooperate with an anti-terrorism unit, when Twomad made implications of people's lives being in James' control at TwitchCon, leading to the entire convention center being surrounded by police SUVs. He replied to a tweet from Justa Minx[4] claiming that she actively interfered with investigations and assisted Twomad by revealing confidential information provided by the authorities and she also encouraged him to kill himself for hours and days before his death. Minx even talked about it on streams.

In a third tweet[5], he shows footage claiming that Twomad did posses real firearms, showing him unloading a pistol before a BTS concert, as well as a photo of him seemingly pointing it at one of his victims. The video he was sent was privately taken right before a BTS concert in December 2021.

James' claims were initially met with a mixed response. Although many showed him support, others criticized him for making his allegations the day Twomad's death was revealed, as well as an initial lack of evidence to support his claims. RubberRoss came out and claimed that James was hiding in his hotel during TwitchCon, as Twomad was enroute to James' house and James was waiting for law enforcement. Some also surfaced the full video of Twomad's encounter with the girl, revealing that the pistol he pointed at her was actually an airsoft gun, but also confirming he owned a separate firearm in the same video.[6] The 13 year old also responded to James' claims, denying that Twomad was ever predatory towards her, claiming the two were actually friends.[7][8] However, an older tweet from Twomad shows Discord messages between them that contradicts the girl and suggests that he could have been.[9]

On March 14, James released a 52-page Google Doc containing all the evidence he was allowed to provide against Twomad.[10] In this document, James goes over specific instances of stalking, threats of violence, and abuse from Twomad. He also provides evidence that Twomad possessed both airsoft and real guns.[11] Most of the responses were supportive, showing condolences to James and Twomad's other victims, though it was still met with criticism by some.

Turkey Tom gave his own judgement on the situation, pointing out multiple inconsistencies in the document:[12]

  • There is still a lack of evidence for some of his claims in the Doc.
  • In James' initllal tweet[2], he claims that Twomad preyed on 13 year old girl in mental hospital. However, the girl isn't mentioned anywhere in the document.
  • Some victims that are mentioned once aren't mentioned again.
  • In James' second tweet,[3] he claims that Twomad put a bullet hole in his office window and that he witnessed a SWAT team with ballistic shields outside of his home. Tom states that gunshots aren't uncommon in LA, and that the SWAT team he mentioned could've been going to a different home.
  • James claims about the police's corruption:
    • He states that the police refused to investigate Twomad's home until they got permission from the court. However, this is what the police are supposed to do. If they investigated him immeidately after James demanded them to, that would be actual corruption.
    • James claims that he had to pay a lot of money for the investigation, even having to sell his car. However, filing a police report should normally be free.
      • Tom speculates that James could've hired a private investigator.
    • Overall, James' claims about the investigation wouldn’t add up on a legal standpoint.
  • Tom also states that if Twomad did illegally possess real firearms and put a bullet hole in James' window, he likely would've been arrested immediately.
  • James also claims that Twomad used a "secret car" that wasn't under his name. Again, if this were true, Twomad likely would've been arrested immediately

However, some of Tom's claims are also inconsistent, such as the court documents he covered being incomplete, and the fact he denied that Twomad possessed any real firearms, despite James' Doc containing screenshots and video evidence of Twomad confirming he did.[5]
