Jackson Frayn Harries and Finnegan Frayn Harries (born May 13, 1993
), better known online as JacksGap, are two English twins on YouTube. The channel started as a project for Jack Harries, during his gap year, hence the name JacksGap. However over time Jack's identical twin, Finn Harries, featured in more and more videos, because, after introducing Finn for the first time, JacksGap's number of subscribers nearly doubled. Finn is now the co-owner of the channel.To date, the duo have more than 4 million subscribers and over 193 million video views (as of May 2018)
The channel adopted the slogan/themetune of "JacksGap, JacksGap, 5 minutes of your life that you won't get back," and each video is started with the line, "Hi guys, how're you doing?"
A fan made 'Finn, Finn the better twin' in a PO BOX Video. Jack then made 'Jack Jack the better chap'
History[]
JacksGap was originally launched in July 2011 by Jack Harries and the main purpose of the channel was to document his gap year. By September 2012, the channel had 190,000 subscribers, with their view doubling when Finn joined the channel.
In May 2014, JacksGap won two ScreenChart! Channel Awards including Best Directing and Best Mini-Series or Short Film
The YouTube Crew[]
The Harries twins are also noticeably part of a group of YouTubers commonly referred to as "The YouTube Crew", consisting of a fairly large group of individuals including Caspar Lee (dicasp), Marcus Butler (MarcusButlerTV), Alfie Deyes (PointlessBlog) and Louis Cole (FunforLouis), and others.
