Luis, better known online as SmugStick (or Smug), formerly known as Dragon Ball Explained, is an anime-based YouTuber who is mostly known for his "What If"s about the franchise Dragon Ball. He has used eBay to sell movies and other items too. He launched his YouTube channel on July 26, 2017.

Smug created his channel back in 2017. Luis did not start off doing his iconic hypotheses but actually edited anime intros and later his first "Dragon Ball Explained" (a series in which he goes in-depth analyzing a certain aspect of the Dragon Ball franchise). His first recorded "What if" was "What If Vegito Never Defused?", and was followed by Dragon Ball videogame reviews and more "Dragon Ball Explained".
His "What if" content would become more relevant around the time "What if Beerus Woke Up in GT?" was released, and it would become the channel's main focus.
"What If"s[]
The "What if" medium is well-known in the Dragon Ball community. Smug's style focuses on narration rather than an actual theory or analysis. When focusing on a character's growth in maturity, he seems to take a lot of inspiration from Dragon Ball Online's lore. Smug is not a stranger to adding original characters to his narrations, but they don't have much relevance; having a minor role and a bigger impact.
