Controversy[]
On March 4, 2022, leaked Discord messages between Pomu, Finana, Millie, Vox, Shu and Fulgur showed that they had been talking about rival company Hololive, comparing the success of Hololive EN's second generation, holoCouncil, with that of Luxiem, Nijisanji EN's fourth wave.[1]. The leaks came from a Stardew Valley collaboration stream, where Petra temporarily flashed the Discord for a few seconds by accident.[2] The VOD was taken down soon after the leaks.
Though this caused backlash among a small number of fans who were critical of how the VTubers of NijiEN would often interact in a friendly manner with the VTubers of HoloMyth, Fulgur in particular for stating "Council didn't do as good as they expected" and "they were mad about niji". However, the majority of fans of both companies brushed this off as there was nothing that truly ridiculed or Hololive and holoCouncil. After the leaks, Calliope Mori of holoMyth had unfollowed some Nijisanji EN VTubers, implying that she was aware of the leaked messages, although this has not been proven, and Mori has refollowed several Nijisanji EN Vtubers except for Fulgur.
In March 2022, Ollie made a tweet where she wished Fulgur a happy birthday. Many fans replied to the tweet with the Discord screenshot of Fulgur insulting hololive's members, which resulted in her deleting it. It is likely that after she was made aware of his remarks, she decided to no longer engage with him.[3][4]
