Funny Vines, formerly VineAholic, is an American YouTube channel and the most popular YouTube channel solely dedicated to posting compilations of short videos on Vine.

Vine was an American social networking short-form video hosting service where users could share six second-long, looping video clips. It was founded in June 2012; then the owner of Vine sold it to Twitter in October 2012, well before its official release on January 24, 2013. It was shut down 4 years later, because the site was not able to find a sustainable business model as it was viewed by many advertisers and promotors as a platform that did not suite well for promoting their products.

Content[]

This channel posts compilations of comedic short-form, vertical videos from Vine, hence the channel's name. Though, this channel also includes fails, TikToks, funny animal videos, viral videos, and the classic vines. New compilations on this channel are uploaded every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

History[]

They launched their YouTube channel on May 11, 2013, a few months after the official release of Vine, and have started uploading compilations on February 20, 2016. The first compilation is titled "Vincent Marcus Perez Beatbox Vine Compilation - Funny Vines 2016". Ever since then, they have been uploaded lots of compilations and have amassed hundreds of millions of views and millions of subscribers.
