GEVids is well known for his short Minecraft videos. A popular series on his channel, "If Saving Was a Choice," consists of him choosing between a meme character or diamonds in Minecraft.
History[]
GEVids started his YouTube channel in September 2016, and uploaded his first video, "Minecraft, but every drop is RANDOM" on October 5, 2019.
In the beginning of February 2021, GEVids decided to take his channel in an entirely new direction. He began uploading content to YouTube Shorts, which would lead to the rise of his channel. On February 2nd, 2021, GEVids uploaded a video titled "Minecraft - Avocados from Mexico 🥑." This video did extremely well at the time, bringing in over 6 million views. Avocados from Mexico and his other characters such as Hamood and Gnome would become recurring characters, which led to the start of the "If Saving Was a Choice" series. The success of his characters and the rapid growth of YouTube Shorts would cause GEVids's channel to grow at an unprecedented rate in the Gaming community. In the coming months, GEVids would continue to grow at an insane rate, reaching 1 million subscribers only two months after his initial debut.
His subscriber count would double in the next 3 months, reaching 2 million subscribers and 1 billion video views in August. To this day, GEVids remains as one of the biggest Short Form gaming creators on YouTube.
