Game Jolt is a social community platform for video games, gamers, and content creators. The platform was founded by Yaprak and David DeCarmine. Users post and interact with content on the platform through various formats such as images, videos, live streams, chat rooms, and virtual events.
Channel History[]
Game Jolt was founded in 2002, and since then, the platform has supported independent creators in managing their content. The platform's founder, David DeCarmine, began developing Game Jolt at 14 for a group of hobbyists to share games that creators created on the forums in an early iteration known as Holo World. The idea was to make a platform where newly created games could be easily discovered and immediately become playable. The game's feedback could be directly provided to creators, allowing them to continue improving their games.
The platform was registered as an LLC in 2008.
In 2015, Gamejolt made a youtube channel.
But Gamejoly was re-incorporated as Game Jolt Inc. in 2020.
In March 2022, Game Jolt was simultaneously launched as a mobile application on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for Gen Z gamers and creators.
