Jeremy Griggs, (born: March 8, 1979YouTuber. He owns Geeks + Gamers, a company that used to be made for gaming tournaments now used as a collective with many other youtubers with himself as the face.
), also known as DDayCobra (his personal channel), is an American gaming and commentaryA former member part of the access media, Jeremy has since late 2017 focused on criticizing what he sees as left-wing politics in the entertainment industry since the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and its director, Rian Johnson, went after fans who hated it as well as many media outlets, which he believes caused division amongst the fanbase and in many different studios and franchises. He has also criticized fans who support Star Wars media released under Disney, opining that those who do so are “political opportunists”.
The videos on his channel come in two forms. First, there are the gaming related videos, in which he does video game reviews, news, discussions, and rants. The second are videos on SJW's and political topics. And those types of videos often overlap as well, as he frequently makes videos where he talks about SJW's in the video game industry. Less common are videos on films, and "SJW" politics in films, such as with the 2020 Netflix original movie Cuties.
He created his channel on June 12, 2014, started making videos on June 28, 2016.
Controversies[]
Contribution to the harassment and targeting of Halo Studios developers[]
On October 8, 2024, Geeks + Gamers released a video titled "Pronouns Will SAVE Halo," in which DDayCobra claimed that the new Halo Studios Chief of Staff, Melissa Boone, would push "identity politics" and that he would like to be proven wrong, but added, "I don't think ya can [prove me wrong]." The video showcased her LinkedIn profile and her Twitter account, which, following circulation by several content creators associated with the "Anti-DEI/Anti-Woke" online movement, resulted in her accounts, as well as the accounts of multiple Halo Studios employees, being harassed and targeted with slurs and other insults due to displaying pronouns and a rainbow flag in their bio.[1]
