Genie Records, (Thai: จีนี่ เรคคอร์ด) (stylized as genie records) also known as their YouTube channel name; Genierock, is a Thai[citation needed] record label and subsidiary of GMM Grammy that specializes in the rock music genre.[1] Wichian Rerkpaisan, who served as its managing director for over 21 years, founded the organization.[2]

Genie Records was established on January 1, 1998, through GMM Grammy and appointed Wichian Rerkpaisan as its pioneering managing director.[citation needed]

Genie Records held their first major concert, "Genie Fest G16," on May 10, 2014, to celebrate their 16th founding anniversary,[3] followed by "Genie Fest G19" on February 10, 2018, at Rajamangala National Stadium.[4]

Nick Genie, founder and managing director of Genie Records, announced on July 1, 2019, that he would be ending his role after his contract with GMM Grammy expired. Initially disappointed, he later expressed his respect for the decision, stating that he considered Genie Records his home.[5]

YouTube[]

On March 9, 2008, Genierock created their YouTube channel. The first video was uploaded on August 11, 2008, titled "Potato - ยื้อ".[6]
