Mauricio Paredes Javier Bugueño (born: April 24, 1972)[citation needed], better known online as HUEVITO REY YOUTUBER (or simply Huevito Rey), is a Chilean[citation needed] YouTuber and singer-songwriter.
Early Life[]
Huevito Rey was born on the 24th of April of 1972, in Valparaíso, Chile, to Nita Inés Bugueño Araya and Ricardo Alfonso Paredes Marcoletta,[1] who was a policeman.[2] He claims that he suffered bullying in school, and that he had to stand up for himself, essentially "gaining the mafia's trust".[3]
He got his start by making music with humorous (and often explicit) content in its lyrics, such as "I'm fat" (in Spanish, Estoy Guatón, which is the story of a morbidly obese man who eats whatever he sees and "Men in Green", which is a song praising the Chilean police forces.
Controversies[]
Sexual harassment (2012)[]
In 2012, the Chilean news channel Mega (which he later criticized) made a report on him and the sexual harassment accusations against him.[4] He often brags about how this event, and many others like it, gave him "Maximum Fame" (in Spanish, Fama Máxima).
Over the years, more and more people started ironically following him, which led to him getting his ego boosted
even more, to the point that he refuses to speak a coherent sentence, even when on National TV.
Cyberbullying (2016)[]
In 2016, he released one of his most controversial series of videos, which consisted of short clips of him yelling obscenities directed towards a Chilean YouTuber with autism, Choche007.[5]
"Choche, suck my cock you fatass. You're a disgusting pig, disgusting pig, disgusting pig disgusting pig, disgusting pig. Die, you disgusting pig. Disgusting fucking pig. I shit on you, you fucking pig. And on the TV Channels? All of you reporters, come over to suck my cock like Mega."[6]
These videos, which YouTube considered to be "hate speech", got one of his many channels suspended.
Homophobia (2016)[]
He would again make the news that year, when he insulted another Chilean YouTuber, David Montoya, for being a homosexual, calling him a "disgusting f****t".[7]
"Those disgusting effeminate fuckers disgust me, they make me want to throw them out onto the sea. [...] I would pick them up and I would drop them onto the sea, those fuckers."
He was harshly criticized by various LGBT activists for this act, including a public request to delete his homophobic content by Ronaldo Jiménez, leader of the Homosexual Integration and Liberation Movement (in Spanish, Movimiento de Integración y Liberación Homosexual, MOVLIH).[8]
Sexual harassment (2018)[]
In 2018, he was arrested for molesting a 16-year-old girl from Iquique. He famously defended himself in court by claiming that "I haven't done anything, it's the complete opposite, women touch me".[9]
"I don't know. I don't know what I'm being accused of, I have no idea."[10]
Cyberbullying (2019-2020)[]
In early 2019, he was featured on the Chilean TV mini-series "Harassed" (in Spanish, Acosados), which not only documented his cases of pedophilia, but also went over the political messages that he shared through YouTube, which often included messages of sexism, homophobia, and xenophobia.[11]
He would again get into online drama, when, in 2020, he had a series of back-and-forth video messages with yet another Chilean YouTuber, Corxea Champurú.[12]
He was again arrested in early 2020 for cyberharassing Choche007. Whilst he was originally sentenced to just being in probation, the judge changed her mind when he publicly insulted her and called her "corrupt" in a YouTube video.[13][14] He is currently serving a 2-year-long prison sentence. Surprisingly enough, he has a phone in jail, and often livestreams through Instagram.[15]
Aftermath[]
In December 2021, Huevito Rey began to upload videos and photos walking through Viña del Mar with a mask. This led his followers to realize that he was indeed free, since he was arrested in January 2020 before the pandemic and therefore before people wore masks on the street. Currently, he regularly uploads content to his YouTube channel and his Instagram, he has had live broadcasts with members of the Cell Tournament and for a while he was promoting a new event together with Lad Cobra, which in the words of the same little egg will take place in heaven ( or more probably in hell), due to the tragic death of Fernando (Lad)[16], and it will be the same or worse than the previous one.[17]
