Halestorm is an American hard rock, alternative rock, heavy metal, alternative metal, and post-grunge band formed in 1997, in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, by siblings Lizzy Hale, (lead vocals, piano, keyboards, rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, lead guitar until 2000, and bass guitar until 1998), and Arejay Hale, (drums and backing vocals).

History[]

In 1998 they recruited Roger Hale for bass guitar. He left the band in 2004, and was replaced by Josh Smith, who also played the keyboards, piano, and provides backing vocals, and is still in the band to this day. In 2000 they recruited Leo Nessinger for lead guitar; he was replaced by Joe Hottinger in 2003, who also plays acoustic guitar and provides backing vocals, and is still in the band to this day.

Since their inception they've released a total of four albums; Halestorm, (2009), The Strange Case of..., (2012), Into the Wild Life, (2015), and Vicious, (2018).
