John Daniel Shevchenko (born: September 19, 1996 (1996-09-19) [age 28]), better known online as Hyphonix, is an American YouTuber and live streamer. He used to film his videos on a video chat website called Omegle, but now films on Ome.tv and Uhmegle.com ever since Omegle was shut down in 2023. Hyphonix often livestreams himself acting foolish, or sometimes playing skits by imitating someone else on the site.

History[]

Hyphonix started his current channel with a video of his life in a nutshell. After this video, he did Twitch stream highlights. Shortly after those videos, he did a few vlogs, showing people his daily life, then started playing games on his channel. He currently uploads and streams video of him going on the website Ome.tv and his most popular series is his Omegle and Ome.tv hacking series'. In the series, he “hacks” into other people’s cameras by interrupting the conversation often scaring and confusing people.

Early life[]

He started streaming on the website Twitch and made a name for himself by doing Clash of Clans, OSRS, and other in real life content. Over his Twitch career, he was banned over 8 times. He was last unbanned in 2021, years after he last streamed there. He still occasionally streams games on Twitch. Early on he was partnered with Supercell, working at events and streaming Clash of Clans. He had an early YouTube channel where he played the game OSRS or Old School RuneScape.

Hyphonix used to be an uncensored streamer on Omegle, he has stopped doing this as he would have to continuously delete his videos due to the number of genitals he came across. This made it tough for him at first to edit a video, as many early streams were deleted. Hyphonix then started to use images that usually would match the theme of the video to block the users camera until he verified it was not NSFW. Many of his fans drew or made him photos which he uses in every video to cover his screen when he streams. Although he would have to delete his video if he showed anything accidentally.

Hyphonix also occasionally does other content in his streams and second channel including gaming. He once had his own Minecraft server, which he ran where fans played on.

Personal life[]

Hyphonix proposed to his wife Sofia on December 25th, 2019 while streaming live. He later released a clip of the stream in a video. He lives with his golden retriever named Masha. In 2022, he married Sofia and says he plans to have kids in a couple of years.
